        Hey bigfoot,

Bata at Thomson Plaza has many sizes left. I just bought 2 pairs at $39.

          ptr:

Really, u mean same size as the \"My pals are here\" series? Okie Dokie.

Another question, is the house t-shirt available at the book shop and can parents enter the school compound on Day 1 to make purchase? It seems we are confined to the waiting area which are the benches outside the office. I'm really lazy to go to the vendor's shop to by.

BTW, how much money are you mommies giving your P1 kids for allowance? Is $2 enough? Or should I just pack something for him?

Thanks for your sharing, I am really feeling the anxiety.
Initially I bought those plastic where you need to cut to size. I remember doing it with my mother when I went to school. But after a while, I gave up. Decided to buy the ready made size. So much easier and can be reuse the following year. πŸ™‚

As for allowance, I think $2 is more than enough. I was thinking $1.50. The P1 students ate in class this year so we have no idea as well. But judging from the trial recess conducted earlier last month, I think $1.50 should be enough. Ask your DS to bring his own water bottle. πŸ™‚

I just bought the books, labelled everything and packed DS' new bag. Fortunately I recycled the larger plastic covers before I put away his P1 books. Pacific bookstore ran out of those plastic covers.

            For Day 1, I packed:
            - Report book and PE report book
            - Admin Folder (bought the envelope type with compartments from Daiso)
            - Exercise books (all)
            - Chinese and Math textbooks 2A
            - Workbooks 2A
            - Stellar book and Grammar book
            - 4 coloured folders
            - Padlock, thermometer
            - Colour pencils, pencil case

Day 2 will pack the rest in (health edu, moral, music, social studies), including the whiteboard and markers. Not sure if the teacher will want the 2B books as well to keep in school. Will wait for further instructions.
Looks good. I will pack more or less the same. πŸ™‚

Ha! Thermometer. That's what most students will forget to bring on the 1st day of school. The school bookshop does sell if you cannot find it. Good luck in finding it. πŸ™‚

Thanks. Thomson plaza is near enough. Will make a trip there this weekends. Must train my DS to tie his shoe laces!

There's mee siam, wanton mee, putu mayam, noodle soup etc. Not as cheap as I thought. You can see for yourself on Day 1 since you are allowed to enter. I only ate there once so can't really remember. DS said he will eat wanton mee and putu mayam everyday so that registered in my head. :faint:

If you are worried, you can pack food for your kid. I already bought a thermal food container just in case. Intend to make him take some nutritious porridge to school once a week.

My DS is fussy too, he won't even eat sandwiches... :slapshead:

Also, I cant seem to find the dismissal times, I remember its is 1.15pm for monday and 1.45pm for Tuesday to Friday. Am I right?
