Most likely for those who are on the confirmed and waiting lists.

I have registered for the 8.30 am session also.

Have you guys indicated the school start time too? Am thinking of selecting 8 am, so that the kids don't have to leave home too early. Hopefully it's also not too late to have them rush with office workers. 😐
          I chose 8am.
I will drop off my younger kid in school in the east, then travel to the west to drop the elder one, should he be successful in his attempt to get into sst. Then, after that i will go to work.

How was the talk?? I was impressed by the Principal and vice-principal and their background. A well conducted session, I felt.

They were not very clear on the β€˜fate’ of those on wait list.

I talked to the Principal a bit after the session abt the chances of SST changing from 4ys to 6 yr programme and he said as it is a new school the MOE is not ready to comment now. However after the students come in for the first bacth, we can write to MOE and mayyyyybeee there will be a hope for change to 6 yr programme.

I am still undecided. How about you all ???

Yup, i was also impressed by their enthusiasm.
Somehow, i think they are subtle in conveying the message to those on the wait list.
They may just increase the intake if they have the resources to.
Like what they principal said, it would be unfair to double the intake as those who confirmed their offer would feel short changed.

Actually, i have a feeling that the school is geared towards polytechnic. So if they have the 6 year course, then the kids would not be on the path to polytechnic.
So, in a way, the 4 year programme will give the kids more leeway to decide where to go after that.
That's what so unique about this school.

Agree. Maybe they would prefer to leave it as a 4 yr programme.

So what have u decided Carebear - going to submit SSt as choice or not. I m not sure, after the tough maths paper, worried how the results may turn out. Is it a better bet to secure the place and IF the PSLE results are very good, go and look for a transfer. SIGH - tough choice 😒 πŸ™

My son will definitely choose SST.
Mention the word SST and his face will light up.
If you have secured a place with SST, it would be difficult for you to look for a transfer later.

Yes transfer will be difficult but some of the ppl have managed to get transferred - provided PSLE score is super great ....

                        :?

                        Hi to all,

                        SST has a GOOD TEAM.

SST's talk was very impressive & informative.........GOOD INSTITUTION!!

However, SST's training \"University-bound Students\" via the Ngee Ann Polytechnic route (Applied Subjects)............very tough route into TOP UNIs..............How to score straight As for \"O\" Level(& go to Top JCs)???

My son loves SST but unfortunately hv to put as 2nd choice (as per Princi, VP, HODs & FT advices).

Very difficult choice indeed but what to do???? SON....... we r sorry this time! Pls understand our dilemma................your future!!

                        Kind rgds!
