Yes... But my princess is not...

Aiyo, then I have to wake my princess. She is still in her dreamland.
[quote=\"mwchua\"]Thanks for your kind advice on the HMT lesson and the school bus arrangement
Seeing all the discussion here on PSLE scores, I need to start giving my girl some sense of \"reality\". Even though school term has not started, I can feel the \"kiasuism\" in me increasing everyday.....

I was surprised they left out the NUSH figures too. I thought maybe it was too few RGPS students went to NUSH, less than 5 perhaps. But if it's 7 as you say then it is odd. Maybe it was a genuine mistake, I'm sure it has nothing to do with a fear of any influence. What fear is there? :? The children choose the schools which they think is best for them. A school that can help you develop your potential best is the best school for you.

Great surprise to me is that why did they left out the statistics for NUSH for Maths and Science if they bother to include stats for the School of the Arts (SOTA) - specialised independent school or even mentioned Bukit Batok school ??? Are they fearful of influence of NUSH over RGS
I am more amused then anything else ? FYI , the top girl RGPS (GEP) for 2010 PSLE has chosen NUSH instead of traditional choice RGS. My DD (not the top girl) has also opted for NUSH instead of RGS at DSA preference stage as she felt NUSH can offer something different.
Anyway the statistics for NUSH 2011 - 5 from GEP and 2 mainstream ( 7 in total)
Be glad to know the 2012 figures b'cos the RGPS 2011 batch of 7 have done extremely well in NUSH Year1. -

hi my DD was reporting at RGS yesterday, she and a friend (both fm RGPS) are posted to RGS. They had time to spare and counted the no. of RGPS girls accepted into RGS for 2012 (there was a board with name and schools of girls accepted). Both of them counted a total of 89 girls from RGPS. Just for info. Cheers !
Almost as many as the 2009 batch.

NUSH doesn't participate in the S1 Central Posting. Neither does SOTA. So I think matadorepy's point was if they can include SOTA they should have included NUSH.
I may be wrong but I guess statistics for NUSH was excluded becos in 2010 they were not part of S1 option. Maybe the data for 2011 batch will be disclosed becos I believe for this yr, NUSH participated in the S1 option. Just a guess ... -
jtoh:
Understand, didnt realise that SOTA's data was shown, if so, NUSH data shld be shared as well. I suppose like wht you mentioned separately it may be a genuine mistake, nothing to hide.

If they can show data for average school like Bukit Batok for 7 student, how on earth can they possibly missed out on NUSH Maths n Science (also with 7 students posted there) which include their top RGPS girl for the 2010 PSLE , also with the highest PSLE-Posting COP of 264 of all IP-School.
May be they are juz too shy to report that info ( b'cos top RGPS girl broke tradition and din't choose RGS as everyone would have expected. ) :spank:
Although there are no direct affiliation RGPS is always synonomous with RGS. -
never mind. the past was over.
let’s give our school the benefit of a doubt that it was a genuine mistake made, close the case and move forward from here. Let us look forward to the dawn of a fresh new year 2012 arriving, counting down in a week’s time.
let’s look out for 2011 batch & for subsequent later batches.
if our school indeed has RGPS girls going to NUS High, all information ought to be fair & accurately reported in future to public & to parents, even if it means only 1 student going there. The same error of incomplete info should not be repeated. -
Hi, I am a new participant here. I have a query…wondering if any parents could advise. My daughter is transferring to RGPS p4 in 2012. Can any parents advise if there is any instructions on the books to bring on the first day of school?

hi,
Needing a favour here. If any 2011 P3 parent would like to let go of the Stuart Little book by Harper Collins (listed in the 2012 P3 booklist) pls kindly let me know.
:thankyou:
Rgds,
Ming
