Ycpang > thanks for info on H2Opolo. In fact, today I dropped by HCI in morning to go bookshop and at same time brot my boy to the swim complex. YES, the training was ongoing. Wah …all the boys very big built and muscular. Are they upper sec and JC training?? Or just upper sec? Or lower sec as well?? Cos’ if lower sec, then they have REALLY good built for the sport. RIGOROUS … Very rigorous training. My boy was VERY impressed by the way they can handle the ball passing, catching and shooting. ALL RIGHT HANDED!! He got a little worried cos’ he ain’t that tall n Certainly does not have that good built. But he said he will still try cos he likes water sports.

Sec 1 boys, Mao’s Last Dancer is out in bookshop. Was there today to buy PE Tshirt.

The Empire book is still NOT in yet.
And geesh, the line FOOLSCAP n the CHinese Compo foolscap ALL out of stock!!!

I have a question on attire in school. On PE days, can they wear PE attire to school? Or do they brg to school to change for PE and then change back to uniform after PE? What is school rule for attire?

The training u saw today was a combined training from sec 1 to JC level. They are good built bcoz of the trainings. This is one of the advantages of water polo. Better than joining gym club membership. LOL.

They have to wear unIform to school then change to PE attire during PE lesson and change back again to uniform after PE.

Awwww, I thought they would change after a few years...but wouldn't it be uncomfortable to change directly after PE when we are all sweaty?

Huh … So it is uniform unless there is PE lesson. I wonder if the culture is same for all secondary schools even now? Actually during my time in secondary school, it was the same and I dreaded it bcos aft PE all sweaty and sticky. Some things just don’t change, do they …


Question about recess : are recesses staggered, ie, different levels different time? My boy was asking if it would be ok to bring snacks to school for recess instead of queueing up. Bcos in primary sch he had bad encounters where teachers release late, then by the time go canteen queue for food, sit n start makan, time to go. So i packed snacks most of the days for him then. He actually asked me if it was ‘malu’ or not, to bring snacks for recess. Comments, anyone??

MFQUEk remembered was tested as term test but only a small section but not in EOY exam. Yes for his sec 1 but sec 2 they just stick to the bk list caused too much work n new things to learn.

Hi Chandelier, d boys will do one sci subject every term, term4 will be revision for all 3 sciences subjects . Remembered DS told me different consortium teach different sci subject during d 3 term caused he wanted to exchange sci notes with a sch mate then realized they were not taught the same sci subject. Btw their test papers were all different sets even in the same consortium to prevent d boys fr asking the ques fr another class . This was told to us during teachers parents meeting. Ha ha so d boys have to work hard for d test n no easy way out but sometime still same la as d boys still ask each other . Once some of DS classmates asked d next class which had d test 1 day earlier for d test ques n only studied those ques but d next day test ques were totally different ques n those classmates failed tt test badly.

My friend’s ds will be sec 1 in HCI next year. She is staying at Bt Medan area and is looking for bus transport to school. She called the bus co that currently ferries pupils to HCI. Unfortunately, they do not transport pupils from her area.


anyone staying in her area keen to take the transport? If there are sufficient pupils, the bus co will be able to provide The transportation
