Which is your most preferred credit card?

I agree with the above. If you are careful & know how to work CCs to your advantage, it's real good.Citibank for most stuff, including travel
Krisflyer Amex for airtix
Have UOB, RBS and DBS too, but hardly touch.

If you are a prudent user of credit cards, it can actually be financially advantageous. Imagine this, you are buying things with OTHER peoples money first, and then paying them only a month or so (depending on payment intervals) later. Meanwhile, you are collecting interest on your unspent money for that period. In addition, if you wanted to make overseas purchases (many things are cheaper from online shops than locally in a store), most of the time you can only do so with credit cards. And don't forget the nice freebies you can exchange for with points, and the nice restaurant discounts.
Sorry if I sound like a salesman, but I strongly believe all who qualify should first learn how to use cc properly, and then rapidly avail themselves of them. It has been stated that one of the disadvantages of being with low income is that you cannot access credit cards, and all the financial benefits that accrue from their usage.
P.S. I don't work for a bank or cc company
Me & hb try to use 1 card so that we can 'consolidate' our points. His has a Citibank card where the points is changed into miles (can't rmb details). He often have to make company purchases running up to few thousands a month & the points are ours to use
Same for me, but mine is few hundreds a month only

Actually I like all and have most. Different cards hv different discount mah. Need to standby all. hahaha…

I am also the type of person with many cards!
Various cards offer different discounts at different vendors.
So i try to carry a variety of cards, so as to maximize promotions.
But I mainly use the POSB card and previously the Citibank Dividend Card.
I try to make all my purchases on 1 card! -
I got UOB ladies card and POSB everyday card.
However it always give me a :!: when i see my bill!
So im cutting down on using CC to make payment for my purchases as i find it hard to keep track of what i spent… -

 I bought those plastic card holders to store all my CC and discount cards. I carry it around and will determine which card to use when making payment.I am also the type of person with many cards!

I also use the various cards for the following :
1) Diners - instalment and admin fee free road tax payment
2) Amex Krisflyer - to earn krisflyer points faster - This is my 2nd year and they waive off my annual fee so I am happy to stay with them
I don't believe in paying for CC. I would usually call for a waiver. If they can't, then just cancel the card. It's their loss not mine  Usually the bank will oblige. -
Ya that's true!
There is no need to pay for annual fee or the occasional late payment.
Competition is very tough, so they will waive their fees!

hello,
Wish to seek advice. Any idea which credit card offers cash back deal ?
As in they really issued you a cheque for cashback and not offset against future purchases?
Thanks.

Hi
citibank dividend card does. there is a certain percentage of cash rebate (ranging from 0.5 to 5% depending on whether petrol/ groceries/ pharmacy or general merchandise). When the cash rebate hits $50, they will send you a cheque

POSB everyday card has a cashback option - no rewards points but you can claim the amounts earned against invoice charged. But you have to manually click on redeem when logged into internet banking. There is also a small minimum amount. Good thing about it is the 5% rebate when you go Carrefour.hello,

I use Standard Chatered Xtrasaver. It's a debit card (so you need to have $ in the bank), minimum of 6k at anytime to enjoy the rebate - but there is no minimum sum to be retained otherwise (ie they don't charge you $2 everymonth if you do not maintain the sum). 1% off credit card purchases, 0.5% off nets purchases, 7% off petrol (any station). Full amount credited into your account every month - no minimum value. -
