Hi everyone!

I will be joing njc next year!(I will be in sec 1 next year)
Will it be possible to take up a third language in year one(French,jap),even though I did not apply for it in the s1 option form?This is due to the fact that I thought that taking a third language would be difficult,but now I am actually quite interested,is it still too late?I do know about the Malay special programme but I am interested in taking jap or French too :sad:

Today is the day to register for 3rd Lang. Try to call MOELC - 6258 7794 and enquire. Hope they can help you.

Hi, my girl's appeal to NJ was successful. Received their call today. Wondering, did we missed their orientation ? Anyone know how many class's will there be and how they allocate the classes ?

The orientation is on 9 jan. You hv to do the transfer (from accepted school) and admission into NJC. Upon which, NJC will issue a starter kit.

I was there with dd during reporting on 22 Dec. There was a brief talk but nothing really important. Tue/Thur shorter days ... end around 2 to 2.30pm. The other days are around 3.30pm. Timing will vary on which CCA is taken. No class was allocated yet. Orientation will start on 9 Jan, 7.30am. Parents can join kids on the first day for the programme but note that there is no available parking within the college. You can get the programme schedule from the school.

Principal/teachers all marched in and the Principal and HODs addressed everyone - basically lots of briefings and intro to school rules/expectations, programmes, etc.

That year's day 1 included new students for JH3 (last batch of intake) as well as JH1s. Both Dh & I went along just incase no parking available. It looked quite crowded along Dunearn road already at 7+am, so me & son alighted at the Dunearn road bus-stop and went in from that side-gate to the hall. Dh managed to find parking near the Track/Field area (slightly down the slope from the teachers' parking area next to the Parade Square). We left around 11am or so after having lunch at the canteen. The students join their orientation group for activities after lunch. Not sure if same this coming next year.

Hi, need some advice pertaining to 3rd lang:


-was wondering if there are any NJC students who opt to study 3rd Lang at Bishan instead of Newton?
-does MOELC place all students from same school in the same class?
-what are the pro and con of studying together from the same school ( at newton) vs study at bishan possibly with students from other school?

Bishan- catholic high, RI, st nicks, dunman high
Newton- which school?

Appreciate if some kind parent can share.

I don't think so. Newton is so nearby, just take public bus will do. If your child plans to do Music programme in nJC, don't bother about 3rd Lang. Timing will clash.

The HQ staff noted down my mobile no., said will sms me once the stock arrives. Did they tell you when the stock will come in?

Yes, there's a reservations form. So now they just owe me the shirts in the reservations.. .. they said by 1St week January.

I called BibiBaba early last week, was told they will try to rush out the size 13 by this weekend. I called this morning, still no stock, also no idea when exactly the stock for size 13 will b available in Shaw Centre.

I am going to call the sch up tmr.
