Well, based on your two factors, you seemed to have answered your questions, no?Near home (RMPS, consider to fall in 1Km, CHIJ, is slight further).
Mixed school so she get to mix around.
What different ?
Near home - RMPS nearer to your home than CHIJ Kellock
Mixed school - RMPS is a co-ed school whereas CHIJ Kellock is for girls only.
In addition, CHIJ Kellock is a Catholic school whereas RMPS is not. -
I am tear apart between Chij & RMPS as I will need to sign for PV for RMPS.
What are your considerations in choosing a school for your girl? These two schools are totally different, in some ways.

What different ?
RMPS no affiliation to a secondary.
CHIJ (Kellock) have affiliation to a secondary school. -

hi all mummies & daddies, need some advice here:
DD will be registering for P1 next yr. she can apply for 2 schools under phase 2B
1. MGS (Bt Timah)
2. PLMGS (Paya Lebar)
In order to increase our chances as competition is very stiff, esp. for the first school, we will have to move house to be within 1-2km from these 2 schools. But we can't sell our current place for personal reasons. So what can we do?
Also, if DD doesn't get in thru phase 2B :xedfingers: , which other schools are worth considering as 2nd choice under phase 2C? We live in the Bishan-Toa Payoh area.
Appreciate your advices and suggestions. -

I stay at Bishan area, so far neighbours' dd who have no connections, ie can only go to phase 2C tend to go to Marymount Convent. Historically, quite easy to get in, ie no balloting in 2C. By 2C supp, usu still have some vacancies left too.hi all mummies & daddies, need some advice here:

The other alternative is Kuo Chuan Presbyterian, but it is co-ed, but a quite good school. Usu phase 2C within 1km no need ballot, but beyond 1km or 2km, need to ballot, depending on the competition. -
Hi careermum, thanks for your input. So under phase 2C, we can consider
1. Marymount Convent
2. Kuo Chuan Presbyterian
what about Ai Tong or CHIJ St Nicholas? -

Will doing PV for the above schools increase my chances? -
if you are a Roman Catholic, you can apply for a CHIJ school, under phase 2B - one phase earlier, and eliminate keener stiff competition, compared to phase 2C.
