          qms:
By attending the the briefing session, you can also find out, for instance, how LSH teaches English. E.g. Learning Vision teaches English using Letterland. Hence, if LSH uses a different approach, you can find out from them the merits of their approach as opposed to Letterland.

Did a google, seems like the comments for Jolly Phonics is better than Letterland. Lots educator say that Letterhand is confusing kids, when you ask about A, they replied Annie Apple instead of Ah.

            Hi lzxuan!

How good is your daughter in reading? My daughter is rather hopeless. Sigh! 😒

That's why I keep using this as a reason to justify switching to LSH. My husband thinks all childcare centres are the same, though. :stupid:

              Hi Fion!

So you will be attending the same session as lzxuan! Perhaps both of you can meet up to list down the questions to raise to LSH during the session. Like what lzxuan said, UNION IS POWER! :rahrah:

Does that mean the ohonics method LV thought the kids are not v good?
Ya i'll be attending tomorrow briefing πŸ™‚

My daughter is also lousy, now even those common words like \"with\", \"that\" still dunno how to read. I think your girl is quite \"shining\" since she is always the main actress in speech and drama. My girl is always calafare. 😞

                    Hi Qms,

Can tell me how you think about your son’s current teacher? As I know she will be one of the K2 teacher next year. Can PM me if it is not convenient here.

                      hi Izxuan n qms

does that mean that the English curriculum in LV is not that good?
So u send your kids to extra enrichement course outside the school or from the school?

I think the standard varies among kids. My daughter is not those shining type, I did not send her to enrichment classes or teaching her at home. She is also those lazy type, even asked to complete school readers she also complains. And we do not speak English at home. So lots of factors. My daughter phonics is learnt through Leapfrog. Before the school teacher taught on Phonics, she already knows all the basic sounds of each letter, so she is not \"affected\" by the side effect of letterland as what other educator commented. So lazy mother -> lousy kid. 😒
Anyway, as long as she is happy in school I am ok.
