She told me she had surpassed her reading target last year of 2000 books (fiction/non-fiction/chinese/english). She reads an avg of 5 hrs a day. Sometimes, I wish she spend more of her time on other stuff as well. Her deteriorating eye-sight is also great concern. 🀷

Enjoy your yummy BBQ gathering! I wish I can be there.

Wow! 2000+ Books per year! :salute: :salute:
U Sure have a very Determined Self-Driven Little Lady there, IJJ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚

Agree with U on the Eye-sight issue ....
Do Take Care. Is She Wearing Specs at the Moment?

      me too, also :salute: :salute:
MY dd can read 12 books every week basically...so, 576+ books per year.[/quote]
My lazy bum is gonna die in the program... :faint: ..if the target is no. of PS3/ Wii/ iphone n ipad games played per week...he sure topped the chart n can get distinction in all games! πŸ˜“

Thanks for the salute. If you really know her, it is not surprising that she reads that number (not typo : 2000+) of books. A lot of times, I would rather she spends more time on other activities too.

Anyway something nice to share. In Nov, she was selected to rep her school for math computation and now she is into round 2 for out out of the state level. She is the only 5th grader. On English and Latin, she scored highest in the elementary level spelling bee and her teacher is asking our consent to send her as school rep. It has been God’s grace upon us!

πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ Big dog some more... very big appetite. Seriously, keeping a dog is no joke, alot of responsibilities. Wonder how this super L-F mom (Funx3 or x4?) did it...3 kids with a dog. :faint: :faint:

I used to have 2 dogs when I was a kid... N also hamsters, rabbit n will bring home stray cats once a while...but I was not the one who do most of the cleaning but my mom.. DS adopted 2 hamster 4 yrs ago..helped a little in cleaning for the first few wks n then becomes my job..when the 2 little ones died, mummy cried like crazy but he seems unmoved.. 😒 So NO more pets till someone knows how to be responsible for himself first !

funX3 is super mom with 3 super kids plus a dog. :udawoman:

                  Wow 2,000 books!

IJJ, is that a typo? I'm quite sure my ds reads less than 10% of that per year.

                  Fun3x,
Told ds he'll be seeing a doggie and he was so excited. Please make sure you bring ok. Thanks.
