      Hi everyone,

This BBQ on sat will definitely be of help for parents of P1s...to get tips on what to expect for P1.

Agree! I would love to go but too bad I was hit by the Vericella virus, aka chickenpox. And because of this, I missed one of the milestone moments on Day 1 of P1 for my DD 😒 besides missing out on Christmas concert, new year count-down & this coming BBQ. Haiz.

Btw anyone has any feedback or know anything about Mdm Nora? PM me pls.

Poor you. Wish you a speedy recovery! I very ks, all my kids were jabbed once they reached 12-mo. Miss BBQ, nevermind, you are not alone...

Congrats IJJ. Who knows, maybe next time your dd qualify for medical sch there then can come back here and earn big bucks.
Aiyo...dun count the chicken for me before they hatch. As long as they are happy learning, I also can breathe better and try to make myself look young again (like someone...16-yo every year), I will be glad. But... I am rather stress cos I still dare not drive highway at 70 miles/hr...my heart cannot take it to keep steering the car within its lane, how to drive her for her competition...chiam! Another type of stress. :gloomy:

Any parents with kids as sensitive as mine? I'm giving him CL picture writing now. He doesn't know how to write θ―», and I casually commented how come he doesn't know. Immediately he can whine and shed tears for 5 min over such a small remark.

Did i gaffe or is he super sensitive? One day once he gets gold or silver in swimsafe I'm going to sign him up for taewondo to toughen him. Really can't stand a boy being so whiny. :slapshead:
Maybe he had a bad day, or he was too tired that moment to concentrate, hence your comment came as a 'last straw' kind of thingy that he exploded?

One of mine also happens to be whiny and sensitive. At 20 mo, she was 'laughed at' by her peers in cc that she was still in diaper, she came home, threw her diaper and denounced their 'friendship' in full blast of tears. Since then, she was off diaper. One thing about such kids, they are pretty strong-headed and full of self-esteem, as such, they can be self-motivated learners. I am sure a wise man like you will be able to handle a little guy like yours well. God never give us more than what we can handle, this, I strongly believe. πŸ˜‰

I am sure him being him, do not shed tears in public, only for your eyes. πŸ˜‰

Could be due to his mood tat moment ..but I do noticed tat somehow quite a number of boys especially, they becomes whiny n cry babies suddenly ard age 7-9.. My boy hardly cry when he was younger even when u raise your voice.. But suddenly when he started P2.. He cries over slightest issue.. Tat happens to my studens who happens to be tat age group too.. 🀷 hormone changes? πŸ˜† Or stress fr sch?

Thanks comfy and lizhi for the encouragement.

Actually at the end of the day, I also don't have that much patience as a parent - especially after long days in the office - but my son is really quite a sensitive soul and extremely whiny. Don't know when he'll outgrow it.

Anyway I tucked him to bed and pep-talk with him as best as I can so it's no problem. I guess everyone has their idiosyncrasies and we just have to learn to accept them.
I fight with Ds every other day ...but after all the chaos, we will talk over it at bedtime too when we both r calm n relaxed.. Parents shd not be afraid to apologise if u r at fault..

Oh no! U feeling better? I kanna 3 yrs ago after trying hard to avoid for years.. Passed to ds somemore.. got to take care after tat cos can kanna shingles.. Ds n I both kanna shingles within 2 yrs..

drickymummy, thanks for your kind words. My recovery has been slower than expected. Doc also reminded me not to get near to preggie women, so I better keep my distance from you. Wouldn't want anyone to be infected.
Btw is there a way to avoid shingles?

                Joyfulhands,
Sorry to hear about your state of health. Take care. I promise to eat more on your behalf, heh heh. Btw, why are you 4 mummies stressed?
Sure, go ahead to eat more, you've the capacity, hee.. πŸ˜‰
My DD is in diff class from the other 4 mummies' kids. Something to do with their class FT bah... my guess..

Your immune must be strong after recovery..lots of veg and fruits in your diet fr then to help prevent shingles..but I m more of a green person still kanna ... My immune must be low due to lack of rest.. I m a pretty much restless person..

I also thought of it ...... sometimes my dd whined, actually she was tired.
My dd2 is not patient enough, she can 't sit still for a minute...the things are what she like to do, she can concentrate very well, but if the things is what she don't like, then she will feel tired immediately, many many yawns coming out. This dd2 bring us much anger, grief, joy and happiness.
However my dd1 is totally difference with her, what she do anything seems very well, quite good behavior, we are no chance to \"scold\" her a little bit.
How much difference character but they are come from same one mum!

Yes, I've completed the course of anti-viral which helps to reduce the spreading. But I started it late (3rd day) and the virus had launched full attacks on my face & upper body. Now I feel like a war veteran with all the bruises

Thanks IJJ. Recovery is slower as I caught it late in life. I'm equally ks, both my DDs had the jab, but I forgot about myself! Duh..
