        you can try popular,
Communication with the class teacher can be done thru the diary, there is a column for Parent/teacher comm. can write a small note and ask your daughter to show it to her teacher. teachers' emails can be found in the SMPS web-site under teachers.

Had a pleasant experience this morning !

Everything was so well-organized and I dun see any chaos at all, with all the new p1s..
The prefects were very polite and helpful. The mommet I stepped I into foyer, I was greeted by a prefect ( upper pri I suppose) dd wanted to go to the washroom before proceeding to the hall, so the girl lead her to the washroom and thereafter to the hall. Dd felt very welcomed and can't wait to say bye to her dear mommy πŸ˜‰
The teachers were patience with the new girls as well.
            Kudos to them!
Mommy left for work with a peace of mind πŸ˜‰

            Hi Allanice!
I had a really good 1st day experience too. My girl is also in P1 Kindness. What's your girl's name? Mine is Scarlett πŸ™‚
I was so apprehensive initially, but its been 3 days and every day she hops off the bus smiling. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to balance her meals. Right now she's having breakfast at 6.45am. At recess she only eats half of what I've prepared for her, so she ends up eating the other half on the bus on the way home as she's famished, and when she arrives home at 2pm, she doesn't want any lunch! Dinner is now 5.30pm so that she can go to bed at 7pm.

How do you other mummies manage the after-school hunger? Especially if your girls have a long bus ride?

            Hi summerr,

Glad to knw ur dd enjoyed her new school πŸ˜„

About the meal timings, maybe she needs some time to adjust to the schedule. Can consider what plum-cake shared.

Hi plum-cake! Thanks for the suggestion. Have been packing small snacks like an energy bar, may consider cereal too now that you mentioned it. Do you still feed her 'lunch' when she gets home? What time does your girl get home? And what time do you all have dinner? Because of her early bed time, i now put my girl to bed at 7! Which means dinner is at 530! I worry if i feed her lunch at 2 when she gets home, she can't eat again at 530!

Other than my own worries about her tummy - she seems to be doing fine πŸ™‚

I just got a call from the Ballet teacher about what to do for when ballet classes start next week - anyone else dd's going for ballet?

                  xoxo,

                      Hi crick, πŸ™‚

My girl is trying out next Tuesday too! Hope it'll be fun!

Are you thinking of letting her try out for tennis and tap too?

My girl already has music lessons and swimming on other days, and i dun dare to load her with too many classes, but think might be a good chance to 'try out' tennis and tap... or maybe i should let her stop her violin/piano.

does your girl have outside classes too?

                      xx

                        Hello Summerrmummy,

My dd is taking piano & swimming lesson too. I won't be signing her for tap dance and tennis. Timing is not good for us plus it may be too overwhelming for her at this point.
