          hi Angelight,

if possible, ideally let yr daughter enter St Nick - direct all the way from P1 to Sec 4 or IP programme. St Nick is a rare unique (charcter molding formative mission + SAP) school. ๐Ÿ˜‚ :rahrah:

Since DD will only qualify for Phase 2C, need some expert help to analyse & shortlist potentially which primary school to try for or should I just stay in HK and let her finish P1 in the SIS HK b4 coming back.

                Also :
                1. Will school allow to apply in 2C if staying >2km?
                2. Any idea what they do in golf CCA and is it worth to join school that conduct this CCA?

                Background
                - planning to return from HK around mid 2012 and put up in parents place in TPY first
                - DD has been going to International kindergarden & learning golf since 3 and with personal coach since 4

                Currently shortlisted schools
                - Pei Chun : just opp my parents hse so <1km but sure have to ballot
                - CHIJ (TPY) : >1km so unlikely have chance to even ballot but thinking of buying a place within 1km
                - Marymount Convent : >1km
                - St Anthonyโ€™s Canossian : >2km but have golf CCA
                - SIS in HK : stay in HK to finish P1 then transfer back in P2

                Thanks

Yeah I know St Nich is a good school. 2 out of 3 top 'O' level students this year are from St Nich. But I think no chance lah...I'm not catholic, got to enter phase 2C, and not within 1km, slim chance leh.

                    Can I seek your opinions:

My youngest gal was born in 2009. Her big bro is already in a boyโ€™s school.

I am considering buying a place within 1km of these schools:
                    1) St Nicks
                    2) RGPS / Nanyang Pri (same location)
                    3) SCGS Pri
                    4) Henry Park

With their balloting histories in mind, which school would you recommend I aim for? I am Catholic and qualify for Phase 2B of St Nicks but their balloting history is terrible even at Phase 2B. If I try for RGPS, SCGS or Henry Park, I will need to volunteer (and not even sure if they accept volunteers?). I know I stand a slim chance for NYPS so I darenโ€™t think. What will you do?

think you should also consider which of these 4 schools are near the bro's school too. Do you need to fetch both to school in future? what are the arrangements, logistics, etc.

I say go for St Nick's because you're a Catholic and qualify for Phase 2B. So if you move within 1km, you stand a better chance at Phase 2B rather than at Phase 2C of the other schools. Even with balloting you have the best odds bec you stay within 1km. Secondly, if you fail at Phase 2B of St Nick's you can try again at Phase 2C of St Nick's, again within 1km. St Nick's is also IP so that's an advantage over HPPS, RGPS and NYPS.
