      JonC:
Hee Hee, you still keep the 2 links of the videos. Yep, it's difficult to find their performance on web.

They got Distinction at the Jubilate in KL in Nov 2011.

Gold with Honours during 2011 SYF.
      JonC,

Is your DS in CHS choir?
You sound like a very proud parent.
I would be too if I were you.

The boys are very impressive indeed! šŸ˜„

I didn't keep the link of the videos - I just did a simple search on KSparents! hah!

My dd was also at Jubilate in Nov! Not surprising, bc they are under same conductor. And they are going to some festival in Europe again this year. My dd so lucky. Has been on a few overseas trips already in sec school. Last time when I was in choir, I had to decline going bc I didn't have the money to.

Seems that we are discussing a little off topic. šŸ˜‚

Yes, he is because he is not chosen for any other competitive CCA, except Choir after 2 rounds of elimination from the whole Sec 1 which shortlist about 30 and finally not all 30 choose Choir, he is 1 of the few who finally join and selected for SYF last year. Nice timing because the next SYF is when he is Sec 3 and not Sec 4.

During his days is CHS Pri, he was called up twice to join the Choir. He didn't join at all because he didn't want, I feel there is no need to CCA in Pri at competitive level, I don't think he is good at singing (hee hee) although his then student care teacher think he sings well šŸ˜‚ Maybe my expection too high.

            @phankao

You mean all those schools under Mr Kwei will be going Europe this year? When? Where? Prague?

I think the pri school choir standard is not consistent. Maybe the boys might not feel so motivated.

I have no idea if ALL the schools will go. It depends on the schools too. I think I heard it's Venice for my dd. It's her A-level year, really. But the last time she went to St Petersburg in her O-level year, I saw that they actually did study at airport and between.

                Wow, Venice!

Phankao, your DD is one lucky girl.
One question - how heavily subsidized is each trip?

I think it's quite standard in schools. They usually end up paying cash of about S$1++k after subsidy per trip. But for KL, it was cheaper, lah.

The KL trip, school half, parents half.

Do parents get to tag along if the parents say, volunteer their services?

Then, do the parents get subsidies too?
