Hi everyone,
My daughter is currently in secondary and has to choose her CCA which is going to accompany her for 4 years. Which of the following should I choose if my daughter do not have physical talents or music backgrounds?
1. NCC
2. NPCC
3. Boys Brigade
4. Girls Brigade
5. Scouts (for both boys n girls)
6. SJAB
7. Chinese Orchestra
8. Symphonic Band
9. GuZheng
10. Choir
11. Dance
12. Chinese Society
13. ELDDS
14. BasketBall (only for girls)
15. Volleyball (only for boys)
16. Gymnastics(only for boys)
17. Infocomm
18. Art Club
19. Library(only as 2nd CCA)

Well obviously your dd shouldn’t choose volleyball, boys brigade, boy scouts and gym as these are only for boys, as stated in your post. So cross out all those.
As your dd has no musical talent, cross out all the music-related CCAs like Chinese Orchestra, Symphonic Band, guzheng etc.
Can she play basketball? Can she dance? If not cross those out as well.
So what’s she left with? Mostly the uniformed groups and societies.
Does your dd need the CCA points at O levels? If she does, go for the uniformed groups rather than societies/clubs as she can get more points via UGs.
