In fact the KL trip I test test DS, he was so excited that I want to go. When I say, it’s time you do things yourself, he kind of disappointed.

School choirs get to go to such exotic cities for choir competitions. The RGS Choir went to Prague this year and won two grand prizes.

Other groups like band and dance too, I'd think? So far, I've only seen Chinese orchestras go for immersion, not overseas competitions/festivals. -

For dance, yes, if the school has a strong dance team. One girls school I know sends their girls to competitions and immersions in Spain, China, Australia...jtoh:

Some sports CCAs also get to travel for competitions and training trips. -

I know, but for CO, it's all immersion, not competition. Actually Pri CO always goes together with Sec CO, so the Pri mbrs are nv the focus there. And over the years, they've been to Beijing, Shanghai, Japan, Korea, Taiwan...but my son has never gone lah. -
DD was in performing arts and the Pri school had Gold with honors in the last SYF, but no trips...nothing.
Your children are so lucky to have been given that exposure.
At least the opportunities are there, whether or not you choose to take it up.

Usually primary groups don't hv that much trips. It's the secondary school kids that have more. eg. in our boys' school, The chinese orchestra (primary) had trips only bc they just \"tom pang\" with the secondary big boys. Dance also has similar group in secondary. So does Band. But strings don't have counterpart in secondary school so no chance to even \"tom pang\".DD was in performing arts and the Pri school had Gold with honors in the last SYF, but no trips...nothing.
