      Worry-Mummy:
      Hi, i got a daughter who is taking N level this year...I'm so worry abt her Mathematics subject..I notice she can understand and never fail in this subject(for all the class test or sementer test)..She love maths. but I was surprise and wonder why she did not do well in maths each time she sat for Mid-Year and Final year.

      this is actually a common problem among students.

      some reasons are:
      1. they are not tuned to being tested all the topics at once - they don't know which topic the Qns are from hence don't know which formulas to use.

      2. time management.

      3. not enough stamina / attention for a 2-hour paper.

      to overcome these,
      the student should sit down and do a full midyear/ end of year paper, time herself for 2 hours and finish the paper within the time given.
      if she can do ths once a week (Paper1 odd weeks, paper2 even weeks) she would have done at least 7 sets of papers before the mid year exam.

        Hello again,

        I would appreciate help with the following problem:

        Factorize-

        9(x to the power of ab) - ((xy) to the power of ab) - 9(y to the power of ab) - 81.

        What is the correct answer?

        Thanks in advance.

          Can you check the question again. Should it be +81 ?

                      Dear sir

                      Very sorry the attachment did not come in.

                      The sum is (1/2) x = (8) x-2

                      It is Half to the power of x = 8 to the power of x minus 2.

                      Thanks
                      Regards

                        Anyone can help with this Sec.1 Maths;

                        Q. During an Art & Craft lesson, Ms Yuen asks everyone to cover her own tabletop with pieces of coloured paper. Each piece of coloured paper is rectangular in shape and measures 8cm by 6cm. The tabletop is also rectangular in shape and measures 50cm by 33cm. How many pieces of coloured paper would be needed to cover as much of the tabletop as possible with whole pieces of coloured paper without overlapping if
                        (i) all the pieces of the coloured paper are to be in the same orientations;
                        (ii) all the piececs of the coloured paper can be in any orientations.
                        Explain your solutions with detailed diagrams if possible and using problem solving heuristics, PSH.

                        Thank you.
