Hope the new CEO will be more capable.

Someone on this thread mentioned about the idea of getting an army officer to do it - sorry, this thread is bit too long and I don't really want to go back to find which page it is - but credit to you anyhow.

Although I am against getting army officers to head this and head that in the 'civilian environment', I tend to think this might not be a bad idea in the case of the transport.

anyone caught the parliment report on CH5? It seems that Mr Lui Tuck Yew is hinting possible sabotage as the cause of disruptions.

Was wondering the same thing myself  Maybe only lesser mortals like us must give the required one or three months notice 🦆 :siam: 😉

                  Extracts from Mr Liu’s speech

"…However, many questions remain unanswered: Why did the claws dislodge? Why did it happen on such a scale and only along certain stretches of our tunnels on those two days? And why, after apparently fixing the problem on 15 December on the affected stretches, did train services run smoothly on 16 December, only to have the problem re-surface on 17 December in a different location? These are among the questions that the COI has to look into…"

I thought I heard CID too, but could not find any reference to CID in his speech text.

\"...in the form of the Criminal Investigation Department. Not because we consider there is criminal liability or anything like that, but because the CID has very, very good investigation skills. They are totally separate from any of the parties involved in the incidents...\"
