due to lack of maintenance and exposed wear and tear, the component will break apart surely and slowly, at different parts of the system.. Unless you say, those repaired section with new parts, why break down again so fast? brand new parts leh...... That, then is different story..

read in recent papers that the new trains were assembled in China and they were heavier than those bought before so the extra weight could have impact on the tracks also (if I remember correctly, it was 5 tons heavier)

Serious?! I recall DH telling me a news report in ifeng.com that the french airline had a passenger aircraft flying to China and checked by Chinese maintenance team and when it flew back to France, the maintenance team in France discovered missing screws from the aircraft. Seems like the Chinese team thought they weren't important and didn't fix them back.
