Oops I’m class of 2011 lol.


It’s not entirely unfounded. Class of 2011 did exceptionally well in English due to these programs that were implemented only last year, so the results have shown, and probably also of teachers encouraging us to work extremely hard because English has always been the elusive A1 for Cedarians. Of course, there’s been an addition of some very very good English teachers, so that probably helped too.

I feel the mean L1R5 of schools is sorely neglected in media reports. It portrays a more accurate picture of the results of a school's cohort. But anyway, its ok. Enjoy your half day!

Any idea when will the sec.1 start selecting their CCAs? I thought most schools will have their CCA selection in the 1st week?

Hi, my daughter is in sec 1 this year and i desperately needed help for the following questions :


1. What is the meaning of "1255 w 1305" in her time table? does it mean the lesson is only for 10mins? How can her english lesson only for ten mins?

2. How do the school audition them for LDDS CCA ? What’s the criteria?

3. Does she need to go for audition for all CCA?

Hopefully , the senior could ans my questiuons>

1. It means that the period will start/end at 1255 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 1305 on Wednesdays.
2. If its ELDDS, they are taken into the limelight/curtain call depending and are auditioned under debate and drama. For drama, she'll be given a situation and asked to act it out. For debate, she'll be given a topic and she will debate/discuss the topic with the seniors and her audition group. I'm not too sure for CLDDS.
For drama, your daughter will have to fearlessly act out her role without being afraid to do so, and be dramatic. For debate, she has to be able to not be afraid to voice her opinions and engage in the debate.

3. Certain CCAs like library and editorial, photography, your daughter can choose whether to go for their audition. But every cca will have an audition, even uniform groups.
