Woah, no, no, never lost when inside Bag...cannot imagine. Who opens up bags to look! Got CCTV camera around that area, or not?!
No CCTV lah, was at orientation canoeing. It is not the value that i am concern, it is the very idea of losing an old water bottle lor. It is at least 2 years old. Maybe DS did not close his bag properly so can see the water bottle. Now I ask him to use the free NJC water bottle that they gave out at orientation...haha. There's no way I'll buy him a SIGG now, which was on the cards originally.
Maybe like Jennifer say, it is a prank, but on second day? Sigh! -
Jennifer:
Wah! This is serious! It is bullying! How can school say CCTV not conclusive. Maybe should really report police and let police decide if conclusive or not. Sometimes I think the school also want to protect their students, Don't want them to have bad records. But they forget about the trauma and torture it causes the victim.
Maybe a prank.
Our worst experience was during boarding last year. Someone poured water onto his study cabinet, pillow, his iMac (only 2 mths old) and cut both collar straps on his uniform (all mischief carried out within 3 weeks).
I threatened to call in the police, but boarding officer assured they wld investigate the matter. In the end, they claimed the CCTV did not give conclusive evidence.
Sigh...nowadays, the children all so different from us last time. Last time we all blur blur. Bullying maybe is like take your rubber or ruler! -

My boy was not traumatised (he thinks most of those were pranks, the water on the notebook an accident), I was. Crying buckets over the phone with the boarding officers. By the time the sch told us inconclusive evidence, it was many mths later.

NJC started taking in students for their 4 year IP in 2004; ie students joined at Sec 3 and thru-trained to JC2. In 2009 they started taking in students in Sec 1.sunshine123:
Hi,
Thought i heard that it was mentioned yesterday that NJC started their IP in 2004. However, NJC started the 6 yr IP prog in 2009.
What does it mean by they start in 2004? As they conduct IP in yr 5-6? Don't understand.
Appreciate if some kind parents can share on this
Thanks. -

Hi hi,
Regarding school shoes, they are allowed to wear track shoes? Noticed most of the seniors wear track shoes. No need to go Bata to buy \"predominantly white shoes\" for the newbies huh.....
Wonder if any yr 1 parents have any comments. Like to share?
Thanks.

As long as the base is white, you can wear. Can have red, black, blue stripes or shapes.Hi hi,

Hi phankao,
Thanks for sharing. Where are the foreign scholars from? China?
So these scholars compete with our local kids aka DD and DS.
By the way, how many students does NJC take in at senior high upon release of A level results? What is the typical cohort at NJC that take the A level exam?
Appreciate some sharing.
