Hi,

My dd is a P6 gepper and will be applying for DSA this year. Just wondering whether we can request for her Report Book to be given to her so that we can photocopy for the DSA application?

I haven’t done so all these years and her swimming achievements at the National Inter-school are captured there.

      TIA!

In time to come, they will be given the report books to photostate all the result slips and let the school admin office personnel to certify
😄 ...If I did not remember wrongly it should somewhere in May :scratchhead:
Went for DS2's P5 parents briefing.

Suddenly got acquainted with IRS, Ivp, FPS again.
And was reminded by the teachers that if done properly it will help in his DSA portfolio.
          Sigh. Here we go again................

But do u think it help much in DSA?..

I think it would help as a supplementary consideration. That is, the student has an academic domain he excels in, say Math/English/Science, and has IRS/IvP/FPS distinction etc to supplement his excellent academic records. On their own I don't think IRS/IvP/FPS will be of much value.
During the DSA interview at RI, one of the interviewers who interviewed DS was the Principal herself. She did not even ask any of the 5 boys in DS' group to present their projects.

Before the session ended, one boy from ACS(I) asked if he could present his project, the Principal then said ok. Finally, my DS also presented his project (not IRS/IVP, but an English project on the Biography of his Daddy) DS told me (proudly) that the Principal said she liked his simple presentation.. 😄

              Hi ....

              Just an Update.

For RGS CCA, Apparently No One DSA successfully to the Sch Thru Dance Discipline Last Year.
Looks Like it's very Tough to DSA Via Dance CCA to the Sch.

Indeed, there isn't such a thing as dance DSA. You have to be one of those who have won competitions overseas . Even the CCA Dance selection (audition) is very rigorous, similar to X-factor or (so u think u can dance) The audition are a few rounds…. those that were selected to Dance are really good that has certain characteristics :rahrah: . Heard of some Gals with ballet background up to grade 5- 7, may not be even be selected during CCA dance audition! That was last year! Perhaps, you need ballet & modern dance background to be selected for Dance (CCA), some have both! 😓

Hi HyperKiasu, there are some primary offered bicep programme (bilingual) starting from P4 and in P5 the school will nonminate some to attend the talent camp organize by HCI. During the camp, HCI will nominate a handful of candidate and selected them as camp leader for the following year camp(ie the child will be in P6) and act as group leader for the P5 group. This group of pre-selected boys will be very high chance for the successful DSA.

From my understanding, those children who attend bicep programme and pass the DSA critieria will usually be offered a CO or WL. Attending bicep programme is just an entry criteria but to clear the DSA test and interview are the most important factors for DSA.

                thanks sama,
i guess those must be sap primary sch?

May I know what does CO or WL - stands for ???

For my ds , he did not put any of his gep project in his portfolio. He only represented one which was asked to do so during RI interview.
