沉（ ）mo：不出声的意思。
搭配：（ ) 沉默
搭配： 沉默（ )


( ) lue：一点点，稍微的意思。
构词： a.成语：指稍微知道一点儿。
叔叔对书法（ )，说不上精通。
构词： b.( )别国：invade, c.( strategy

Sorry, I can't put in 声调 for the hanyupinyin, but itz 第四声 for both.[/quote]Not sure if MT r the same for all 9 centers but at least the first 听写 list for the first 2 wks kind makes me relaxed a little bit n hopefully it will remain more or less tat way cos find the spelling actually easier than Ds's P3 list last yr in his ex-sch! :xedfingers: DS Chinese sucks! So used to be stressed out by spelling especially 默写 which even my sister in JC find it ridiculous for p3..

I think all 9 centres use the same materials as my ds' HCL worksheets were the same as his friend's from another school.

According to the other thread \"2011 GEP\", some gep parents (I think from NHPS) commented that the Chinese hws are tough. I think the materials are different and seems to be tougher than other GEP schools.

Talking about 听写, ds forgot to learn his yesterday and was learning over breakfast this morning. Sigh! :slapshead:

So I roughly know what's on the 听写 list. 3 sections: 1st section (50%) has around . . . maybe 15 4-words phrases. 2nd sect (20%) has 2 sentences followed by Sect3 (30%), a longer 默写 sentence.

Homework is done on the Activity book. As for worksheet, there's none so far . . I think.

Ours is 13 phrases or short sentences with 2 longer sentences for 默写… When I say it still find it manageable cos the words r not as chim as his 默写 last yr… It is more like his spelling in P2…

Hello,I am new to this thread on GEP, I have a DS who just joined CHS GEP.


Was wondering if there are any mommies/daddies here with sons in CHS GEP ? From what I understand from CHS, the CCA activities are pretty intensive (2 to 3 times a week, even more when there are competitions). Can any parent with DS in CHS share with me whether their DS are coping fine and does the school try to assist the boys in striking a balance ?

I am not against pupils taking CCAs but I am just wondering with the workload of GEP students, will the school take into consideration of striking a balance. Thank you for any info/advice.

We think it could be 集 as 椎 is not in the chapter. We could be wrong
