Yes, kind of started but find it hard to revise with her because she has lots of homework. Usually will do more of revision during the weekends, when she has more time. She is the lazy sort - always asking for 'homework discount' like can I do 5 fewer questions. If I say no, she'll ask 'how about 3 fewer?' See her attitude lah!
Don't worry, you are not alone. But I still have 3 years to fix the problem till the big one.

My DS2 is very playful, has low attention span & no sense of urgency, and still doesnt know \"sky high ground thick\" (chinese proverb)... sigh!
So far, i have not signed up any tuition for DS2, as he says he wants to be like kor-kor, \"no tuition till P6\"! Many a times, I have to 'remind' him, \"but you are NOT kor-kor!!!\"... :frustrated:
Do you have any recommendation of any tuition centres for DS2?

vsk, when is your DD taking PSLE? I know your DS is in RI Sec-1 this year (with my DS1 :hi5: ). How is he coping so far?

DD is taking PSLE next year 2013. This year P5. She is not as strong academically as her brother - slower. So already sent her for math workshop to learn math strategies as math is her weakest. I'm also quite weak in math, so I can't help much and her kor kor loses patience with her easily when she still cannot get it.

DS is settling ok for now. But got worried abt the heavy stuff ds has to learn - like philosophy and research work. The boys have to submit their first proposal about research on some community needs / senior citizens needs if I'm not wrong. They have to come up with more specific areas on the topic for the proposal to be submitted week 5 (which is abt 2 weeks time). How's your ds coping?

Aiyo, DS never tells me all that... Everyday, when i asks him \"everything ok?\", he just says \"OK, mom\"!!!

next time cannot ask 'everything ok?'. Must ask 'what homework or project do you have to do?' ds also didn't tell me voluntarily abt the project too. I check his bag everyday and look at what notes/work the teacher gives.

But I heard the research work is done in module - like some classes will do it in first half of the year and the others do it second half of the year. That is, if I understand correctly from the principal's letter in the research booklet.

Cannot do the highlighted in red action also lah, they are teenager already, must give them some privacy. Didn't hear too much of the project, but DS was working on a worksheet on famous scientist yesterday.

which subjects? For math, I send dd to Meow Learning Academy. Teacher gives a lot of practice on math strategies. Have yet to see results...just started not too long ago.

Or if u prefer short courses, Neuromath does conduct holiday workshops. I sent my dd to the workshop last dec - 4 days I paid $350 plus. Was quite good - she learnt a few techniques of answering the questions.
