      Hi everyone,

DS is in P4 this yr.
i just read some of the thread,i think most singaporean kids are going thru the same issue.

      DS's school timing is very long (7.30am - 1.45pm) .

Every tuesday(staring next week) - extra Math lesson
every wed (started this week) - CCA
every thur (on going) - swmming lesson (pte)
i will need to put him in creative wrtting on sat after CNY

his school is far from my house and he needs more than 1hr to get home everyday from school. i do pity him at times...

Good Morning, Mummy chloecube :snuggles: :hugs:
Yes, do agree :hi5: that seems that our 2002 kids are starting to get busier and busier šŸ˜“

Oh, your boy needs an hour travelling from school to home; he must be tired everyday :snooze: :snooze:

yes, luckily we are able to send him to school in the morning, but after school, he has to take public bus back and that is abt 1hr journey

i try not to load him with too many work but whatever i am giving him now doesnt seem enough leh

            Hi smartmummy,
That's GOOD! Means that your DS has enough playtime apart from his study time! :rahrah: :rahrah:

So, how to you manage timing with your DS? Care to share with all of us so we can all learn? :thankyou:

hehehe.......Actually I tried to ask something else.
How do u control ur kids without computer time? I posted this qn in SAHM thread.cos FTWM's kids go to CC.So they don't have time to use comp.Actually my worry is as follows

My son has one hr play time everyday.but he need compulsory computer time otherwise he can't motivate to study. What to do?He cannot missed the computer hrs.He can miss the study hrs.He always thinking the quantity.I feel his quality study not enough. The timing is very difficult.3-4 study 4-5 computer 5-6 study 6-7 playground.I need to fetch my DD from school at 4pm.so I let him to see computer.otherwise he playing with fire.I just scared to let him alone without computer. In the one hr he just finish 5 pages faster and go away. Then I mark it.Then at 5pm, I asked him to correct. Then the time run faster or he does slow. His playground time reach. Then he goes to playground. His friend goes to playground at 6.I just feel cannot Teach properly.

He refused to has nap and now supplementary haven't yet started.

i think it is quite weird to have compulsory computer time.

for us, computer time needs to be earned. last year i gave him once a week of 30min (he gets to play more during holidays). this year, i up it to twice a week. i stated before hand that if he cannot show responsibility in handling this extra 30min (ie keep asking for more play days even if he has homework not done, or keep wanting to extend beyond 30min), i will take it away.

I let him play more in the school holidays.I told him when school starts it will reduced. Now this two weeks everyday playing and sometimes more than an hour.I told him next week onwards Comp for weekends only as we have more responsibility to study.Let see.
Now I told him next holiday u can play more.

                    Good morning mummies,

I have set rules for dd since beginning of P3 so she knows she has to complete her daily task before she comes to me for her computer time, so far so good :xedfingers: but once she is on the computer, she tends to forget about the time... :slapshead:

                      Good morning ladies,

                      Thanks for sharing.
My DS have no computer time on weekdays. Its becos he have too much homework, tuition homework to do. My rules are only Friday night, and weekends if he have completed his work. Most times, he's quite disciplined. Maximum 1hr and he's satisfied.

Its very difficult to get my son out of the computer. So now I said cannot see in the weakdays.Only weekends. He agreed.Today is the first day.I am not sure how he will react.Without computer he always said I am boaring. He can read books.other than that he siad nothing to do.I bought many board games. He said now don't want to play.I told him to play outside for two hrs.I have to strict.I teach him in computer when he is very young 2-3.Every time he woke up from bed he saw I was on the computer.I think he become interest on comp cos of me.I like to play games and use computer.I know one of my friends, she never use computer her son also doesn't like to use long hrs.She said he will be boaring faster and left the computer faster. Now after my son's experience,I don't encourage my DD2 to see/learn in computer.
