If you want an iron instead of an ironing system, then Rowenta is actually quite good. The steam power is quite strong especially their top of the line model - works a bit like Laurastar dry and steam iron. Press trigger for continuous steam and release trigger for dry ironing. There is also an additional button for stronger jets of steam for stubborn creases.

I almost got a Laurastar G4 system (the base model) but my friend told me that I won't be able to refill water into the water tank unless I wait for it to cool down. So if you are getting a Laurastar, you might want to get the second level up. So I ended up getting a Rowenta Steamium Iron instead and I'm happy with it.

You can consider Panasonic microwave convection oven, which bakes cakes beautifully. I used the oven for eight years before my maid destroyed it, together with many other electric appliances. Panasonic comes out with new models every few years, so you need to make inquiries before buying.

I'm using Laurastar S4(don't confused with G4) with water tank and attached to a big ironing board. Price at $2K plus? can't remember price as I bought it 3 yrs ago. Go to CK Tang, they have it there. Cut my ironing time by half, almost immediate use after refilling, so far so good but maintenance required eg. airing the ironing board, cleaning the base of the board, changing filter if you use one etc...

Good system if you don't mind the price and space consuming board.

I used to have the Tefal steam ironing system i.e those with huge water tank, and now using the Laurastar S4.
Those ironing system compared to normal steam iron. Definitely faster and easier but compared to Laurastar S4, it is even faster and easier.
I can finish ironing DD's pleated school's skirt in less than 5 min. I used to take up at least 10 minutes to get it done. Not mention that it is very tedious too.
In my opinion, the Laurastar is definitely a good investment for me. It gets the job done in half the time and i dun find the whole ironing chore as tiring.

I bought it during Tangs member sales, paid around $2k plus. To me if i dun get the iron, i will need to send some of clothes out for laundry service. I am a FTWM, so on Sunday i need to iron uniforms of 3 DDs, hb's and mine business / work clothes. I can get all these done in 2-3 hours. It is definitely well worth the $2k as compared if they were sent to laundry or i get part time maid to do the ironing.
Most importantly i dun find ironing as frustrating. It used to be my most dreaded chore.
