No lah, you dont have to go tuition to learn simultaneous equations. What i mean is the GE does not have specific worksheet to teach the kids on solving simultaneous equations. But the teachers may have solved some maths questions using simultaneous equation method whereas maybe the mainstream uses models? actually i also do not know how the ge trs teach maths. They dont categorise the questions for them like onsponge and the students are free to use any method that they want.

It's ok lah... we will try our very best. I will be with him every step of the way. I will give him all the support and resources I can find. Difficult or easy paper in 2012, whatever will be will be. Whatever the resulting t-score, he is my son and I will be proud of him for the SOLE reason that he has worked hard and well in P5 and P6 and has shown himself to be a Boy of Character.

I am already proud of him. Last year, I made him skip school so that he could cover the challenging material not covered in school (but still tested) AND still be able to play on weekends. This year, he insists to go to school everyday because he wants to be with his friends, and he proposed that we consider the 5 mornings in school to be play days... and the weekends work days.
As a result, he is working all day on Sunday. I am not sure what to make of this. I have never made him work on Sunday before. -
GE teaching maybe just focus on the teaching of the concept and the students have to think of the solutions themselves.

Maybe... maybe... I am beyond caring. My DS makes sure he does the adequate self-study and listens to Teacher whenever he can. No need for tuition. DS has no tuition.
