Is CCA important? My sister in law has told me that CCA is very important, it help in some way in future in the study ??? Is that true? Can anyone tell me more about how the CCA work.

We had encouraged my DS since P1, he does not show any intrested at all and told us that is wasting of time ....

                      Hi little patric!

I think it helps in DSA if he got medals in particular CCA , other than that no use in primary school, but in secondary school it’s play a vital role.

My son also very lazy, but I told him u should take one CCA. I think is compulsory from p3? And it’s good for them to learn teamwork.
Ask him what he likes, there are many options.

CCA is important in the sense that it builds teamwork, expose the kids to dynamics of working outside classroom settings. to talk about DSA using CCA, the kid must be already be very good in that 'skill' to be selected into the CCA since P1 and/or hold leadership position and/or winning awards in competitions etc. DSA through CCA is not easy and i learnt that in sec sch dsa, if applied via CCA, the kid is bonded for that CCA for the rest of the sec sch years, so the kid has to be really passionate about that CCA.

another way to look at CCA, is that if the kid enjoys his CCA, it'll be one of the things he'll look back and remember about his primary sch life other than studying and studying. πŸ˜‰
