      hi guys

I am new to this thread. After reading many of the pages, can I confirm that
      1) you must first move to that school’s GRC before signing up as a grassroots leader at that GRC?
      2) Then we must sign up with the NC/ RC at least 2 years before P1 registration (taking into consideration the screening time, observation time, actual volunteering etc)?

      Some questions:
      1) What is average time commitment needed to become an EM?
      2) What is the minimum requirement for someone to apply as an observer/EM? Educational level, profession etc?
      3) In your opinion, is it easier to be a grassroots leader or a PV at schools such as RGPS / SCGS?

      TIA

        Hi all,

Do i need to be in the same Division with my ideal school? I have checked iam in same GRC but not division. Even my RC is different. Is it Alright? If is ok, i might want to try joining my RC for higher chance in phase 2B.

In a nutshell, you are too late to try for the GRL route.

Which year is your child enrollment? Might consider the next election year where the boundary might be redrawn again

when is the next election due, in case they redefine election boundary that may affect schools' GRC ? is it 2015 or 2016 ?

if that's the case, safer to go under PV.
scaly slought so hard try to reach EM level, then last minute announce GRC change again! :stupid: :slapshead: :stompfeet:

like last time, suddenly last minute announce SCGS made to come under Molmein-Kallang constituency.

                    if election in 2015:

kids born in 2009 (ox) - register in 2015 July for 2016 P1, will be affected.

                    if election in 2016:
kids born in 2010 (tiger) - register in 2016 July for 2017 P1, will be affected.

so confirm which year got election.
kids due for registration in that year to be affected, safer go for PV route, under the same phase 2B.

For last year's election-year registration, GRCs were still based on pre-GE boundaries (read http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?p=432357#p432357 and http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?p=432710#p432710). The re-drawing of boundaries only affected those registering for P1 from this year on.

In all likelihood, the same will happen again in future GEs.

It is true so i think born in 2009 will not be affected by the election...
Eg NHPS is under Holland-Bukit Timah GRC but after election is under West Coast GRC.
