      Dharma:

Things have changed. My dd1's batch, her good friend w/ 276 could not get into such a class. The COP for mainstreamers, I guess COP varies from yr to yr. No streaming at the end of Sec 1 last yr...girls remained in the same class for lower sec. Sec 3, girls will be streamed based on subject combi.
      Hi Dharma

Thanks for the update. I am out-dated. In the past they usually keep the GEPers together even after streaming in Sec3 i.e. GEPers of same subject comb are grouped together in the same class - I think it is to facilitate monitoring by MOE. Any idea is that still the case.

      Regards

.....My son answered some queries re RI's \"RA\" (Raffles Academy) in this thread:...
        Hi kohjl

Thank you very much for the information. It is so clear and detailed. I finally know what RA is all about although I have heard of it for quite some time.

        Regards

          Vikaesh:
          Award Quantum

The EESIS award quantum for pupils admitted into S1 from 2008 onwards is
          1)$2,400
          OR
2)the annual school fees charged by the independent school less the annual amount of school and standard miscellaneous fees paid by pupils in government/ government-aided schools, whichever is lower.

Which will I get the [money] or [subsidy of school fees...etc.] if i were to study in Raffles Intsitution?
          RI's fees is 300 per month. So that's $3600 per yr. You'll get $2400.

I would question the source of this information because I doubt if people in the know would risk leaking it. But if the info is true, I'd be happy. πŸ˜„

                  Why speculate?

Yes, we will all know in good time, and there is no prize for knowing now than later. This is as good a rumor as me telling you that the winning 4D number for tomorrow's draw is 3228.
