the psle score for this school is ard 260 and 3 female student score ard that score in 2011. They got sponsorship for other school for the top psle score. The previous year 2010 is 3 male and they go to Victoria and Raffles school. My girl is from this school. Hope this will help u.

My girl is in P6 this yr. Actually my girl is transfer to this sch after shifting of hse, 3 yrs in this school. Some teacher are good but u just got to check how the teacher teach the subj. Alot of student is FA scheme (they think study is free and put no effort in it and create disturb in the class and affect others) so they may not know this web. Make sure ur son got to the good class which his result is on tip top. Some teacher is responsible and some are irresponsible (i did make a complaint last year to the vice principle, no action taken and shall not talk abt it) I just hope that this yr my girl is PSLE and the teacher is drilling them, just hope they stay with them till PSLE finished. I think student also play a part, they still got TOP psle student score 260 abv, all teacher, parent and student play a part of it.

Thanks for your reply. Not that i racist, but out of 26 kids, only 5 taking MT in my son’s class. The rest are malay & nepalese. Quite worried about it.

yup, this is wat i mean, alot of malays and they are taking FA scheme althought chinese also got take but they really work hard for it not like malay. Me too not racist but they shd more cherish wat the school had given them. so work hard for the first 2 class and the malay is lesser bah. My girl is lucky as she stay put in the 3rd class till now. The attendant also play part of it when they locate the classes which i know later.

so long as your kids remain in the better classes, should be fine.
it does make a difference.

besides Malay, Indian and Nepalese kids, there are also lots of China, Filipino kids. Chinese teacher feedback that for non Chinese kids, because they seldom have the opportunity to speak Mandarin at home (their parents can’t speak), so most of them find Chinese quite a struggle. These pupils need to work harder.

the school take in a lot of non-Chinese kids. Their parents may not even heard of ksp forum.

Got to know from a parent, 2 kids from Stamford Primary school were transferred to Tanjong Katong Primary & Geylang Methodist Primary…


I wonder if Tanjong Katong & Geylang Methodist are better than Macpherson Primary?
