Her fees vary depending on grade and location.
She also offers lessons at esplanade.
She charges $55 for my girl (g8) and $25 for my boy (g2) per lesson.
For grade 8, cristofori & yahama charges $80-90 per lesson.
I’ve pm-ed those who wanted her contact.
Cheers! -

Are you sure you are not the teacher herself? I find your postings fishy. Her fees vary depending on grade and location.

Nope I'm not her, for clarification.
Just sharing since its not easy to get good tutors at reasonable prices these days.
I notice you are a piano teacher yourself?
Care to share with us your rates?

Hi all,
The piano teacher for my dd and ds are too good. Both of them just recently completed their grade 8 ABRSM and they score almost full mark for the exams. Their teacher is so patient and kind; I could almost make out a halo on top of his head when he is teaching my kids. My dd and ds improved so much under him. Now whenever they practice their pieces, I am so emotionally touched that I could not stop crying with joy. This piano teacher is so fantastic, and he charge very cheap also. He charges both my dd and ds $88 for both their grade 8 lessons. So cheap and value for money!!! Screw those overpriced music schools!!!
I am just sharing this because good teachers who charge reasonable rate are so hard to find nowadays. Anybody want his contact I can PM you.
disclaimer
Above is an illustration on how easy it is to pretend to be a satisfied parent/student. And I am sure anybody who follows this forum would have noticed occasionally that this happen though thankfully the moderators here are quite sharp-eyed.
Unfortunately though the onus is on the parents to deduce if the teacher is genuinely good. Make sure to research on the potential teacher carefully. -

Hmm, your question is quite redundant. If she is the teacher in question, of course she won't be so stupid to admit it lar.

So are you able to advise if they are parents who are here to give genuine advice or are they teachers themselves? :?:

There is no hard and fast rule. But I think the most common telltale sign is new nickname whose first few posts are about recommending his/her teacher. So I did a search on the threads created by this \"moonmazy\" and the first few posts of hers are about her recommending her children's teacher which were just made two days ago. So I can understand sacredmusicals' suspicion. Sometimes a teacher/music school may even create multiple nicks to compliment each other e.g. A is sharing about her teacher then B replies that she is very interested to study with this teacher. Kind of like how certain condo paid people to queue up for the launch to create false impression of demand.
Unfortunately the music industry has its fair share of unethical people. So at the end of the day, parents still have to evaluate the teacher carefully. I posted a rough guide on how to choose a teacher in this forum; that could be a start.
