      Hi Curis77

I am quite happy with the no homework so far :). Just let them enjoy sch first. My gal is very shy and quiet type, I was initially worried abt her coping with Pri sch. Am glad she is managing so far.

          ugly duckling,

Wish you all the best… some tip to share to clock in hours: become a traffic warden; as I have been seeing the staff and even teachers doing it currently, probably the PV program has not kicked in…

          Hello mummies,
My ds brought home 2 pages of maths homework once that he had completed less than 2 minutes. However, he shown me a maths worksheet that was completed in school which I am impressed with the amount of work covered (given short time frame in school and holidays and CNY activities)… there were number bond, number in sequence and in-between, writing number in words.

He also told me that there is a English test or mini exercise that was conducted in class. Not sure about Chinese and other subjects. But so far, he is enjoying school.

Thumbs up to the teachers who are very considerate to postpone spelling due to CNY week.

Can mummies from P2 onwards advice the following:

            1. Any CCA for P1 children?
            2. P1 kids need to go back to school duing March/June holidays typically?
            3. Any exam CA, SA for P1?
            4. Do they have ranking in P1?
            5. Does the P1 move on same P2 class in subsequent years?

            Calling P1 mummies of Yr2010,
If you still have your child worksheets/test/exam papers, pls pm me to deal.

              Hi Ugly Duckling,

I’ve visited the school before in 3 Jan to collect the PV form but they just asked me for the contact number. They called me up the subsequent week and asked me for my e-mail address for further details. They finally sent me an e-mail saying their PV scheme has limited vacancies and thus only the shorlisted parent will be selected for interview. The deadline for the PV form submission is on 10Feb. FYI, the PV scheme is for the children who is in K1 now (born in 2007) and going to register in 2013.

                hi all,

new to this. boy is born in 2006. intending to enrol him under Phase 2B. however, realise that my place is >2km (abt 2.1km) 😞

if balloting is unsuccessful, and i manage to get into another pri sch under Phase 2C, what is the chance of a transfer back to HIPS? Any mummies done that before?

Also, abt the higher chinese thingy - is it true that Higher Chinese is not offered to all students? I thought the opt out is dependent on the wishes of the parents?

                Thank you!

I am not sure the chances of transfer back. But from the past year record, your chances of getting into Holy in Phase 2B is not high. 😞

                      1) No CCA for P1 children. Only certain cca for P2 children. P3 can join any CCA.
                      2) From my kids experience P1 don't required to go back in March & June.
                      3) For P1 & P2, there is no CA & SA but have bite test which will be recorded in their report book.
                      4) P1 to P2 no ranking of class.
                      5) Yes. P1 to P2 moved to the same class.
