mean score from RGPS was 235.6 (mainstream + GEP from MOE combined)
for Chinese quality pass (number of A*), both schools scored > 90%. Applaud!
for 4 subjects, both schools beat other SAP schools + other GEP centres.

They have half hour silent reading from 12.30 to 1pm.Hi,
May I ask what time exactly are P1 students expected to be in school for afternoon session?
Usually my daughter takes the school bus but today I drove her.
She had insisted that everyone needs to be seated in school hall by 12.30 pm. Stubborn me did not believe her as I thought school starts at 1 pm and we are fine as longh as we get there before 1. We arrived at school
at 12.45 pm and the canteen area was deserted of little ones. Only the older kids were around. My daughter was very upset and complaining that she was late as she slowly trudged up the steps to the hall. I'll find out tonight from her whether she was really late.. but just wanted to ask mummies here is 12.30 the expected arrival time? -
for morning session students P3 to P6, Principal observed that during half an hour silent reading, some hardly turn their pages, storybook still on page 1. Everyday read, some got bored. for morning session, school introduce fresh new change. For pupils who can reach school by 7 am (if school bus can bring them by 7am), they can join morning exercise if they like, instead of silent reading.
rivervalley,
good to hear that your girl adopt the right attitude in school.
under CDP (Character Development programme), one of the important values that school inculcate is punctuality. Is good that your girl wants to be punctual.
the school is focusing, emphasing a lot on Character values development now. -

Wow..am hearted by the good results...proof that the school can be as good or even better than the SAP schools
Apologies if this question has been asked many times earlier but is it good enough that I am an old girl for my dd to be guaranteed a place in the school or do I have to join the Alumni, if there is any? -

Your child is guaranteed a place as u are an old girl. I joined the Alumni to update myself on the changes and what to expect when my dd joined the school, one advantage if ur in the alumni, u need not wait long for registration, there are about 15 to 20 plus frm the alumni during registration day
