the Chinese version of Sin gapore is very vulgar .... so better keep this thread sin less but not sinless

                  Well said...

We \"shouldn't\" care even if YSL made LTK's wife pregnant or Orgy with his other WP party members... after all, they are the same \"WP family\" ..

dun care about other ppl \"close door family business lahh\"..

But hey, maybe we should make use of this issue and have an Ads campaign for Safe Sex .. if YSL really made someone Preg..
haha... with YSL face on it saying \"Dun Be Like Me... use the Cap \" :rotflmao:

                  Mdm Koh:

You are a staunch WP supporter? Here's a tip for you. Demand accountability and transparency from the leadership. Don't sit back and allow them to abuse you with their cynicism. Be critical, don't close ranks reflexly. Mr LTK is a streetfighter, his instinct is to close ranks, it is the wrong tactic as the party grows and takes on more expectations. They don't need to just keep YOUR support, to grow, they need to win over many many others, which are not going to cut them the same slack you do.

I am not a staunch supporter but I have a few words about accountability and transparency. If the matters involve a politician's work as an MP or if anyone in a political party is suspected of corruption (like those two guys who were recently suspended), of course, the people involved should be accountable and transparent.

Should politicians be accountable to us for their private affairs? That's a grey area. :scratchhead:

To the best of my knowledge, Singapore doesn't have any examples of politicians who were forced to be explicit in confessing their personal affairs in public. No one forced Minister Shanmugam to be transparent about his rumoured mistress. Neither had anyone told Goh Keng Swee to be accountable to us about what transpired between him and his wife that led to their divorce. :lightrod:

And I believe no one would ask PM Lee Hsien Loong to be transparent and give us an open account of how his wife got a heart attack at such a young age.

I think the private affairs of politicians should remain private, unless they have broken the law.

If voters are unhappy with a politician and think that having affairs speaks poorly of his character, they can vote for someone else at the next GE. But to demand that he accounts to us for his private life may be asking too much of him.

I didn't say that we \"shouldn't\" care, ahtiu. I said that if we must care, show our vote at the next election. Singaporeans don't have the right to demand for a blow-by-blow account of the affair. You're not YSL's wife. Neither are you Angela Oon's husband, I think. :boogie:
