Your fees are exorbitant. My gal saw a senior consultant as a private patient and did many tests too... only in the $100++ range for first visit. Be careful not to go for doctors who appear on TV / newspapers too often...
Pls share with me your doctor contact too... thanks!

I came across the above. They have a package for atropine treatment - $600 for 1 year including 6 visits. Considering......

I suspected it was this place you tried when you mentioned the prices. The doctors appear on TV and newspapers very often. One of them even appeared in the Sunday Times talking about his new bungalow in town...

I've called but they said all children below 7YO will be treated as private patients, regardless whether there is a referral letter from Polyclinic or not? Is this true? Would like to check with any parents with experience. Thanks!

Just get a referral letter from polyclinic and they will fix an appointment for you.
Took my girl to polyclinic on 22nd Dec and had an appointment with SNEC yesterday, done full test on both eyes and a spectacles prescription was given. I think around $56+.

              Hi Ella,

How old is your girl? Is that a subsidised rate? Thanks.

                      Hi all,

My 7yo DS was diagnosed with astigmatism at the age of 4yo but only started to wear spectacles at 5yo because the doctor said to observe first. The doctor said that it was inborn. When he was 5 yo, the doctor advised to wear specs for fear of him developing lazy eyes. His right eye is 150 and left eye is 200.

DS has just had his eye review last month and his astigmatism was stable. He did not have short sightedness but the check revealed that there is some straining of his eyes. I started him on a superfruit health supplement drink called G3. I told him that it is very good for his eyes and he is enjoying it.

Where did you get your spectacles from?
