Hello, tmr CHS will be celebrating CNY and parents are invited to join the boys at 11 am to 12:30pm.

just wanted to ask whether we are allowed to park inside the school ?
If not, where would be the nearest car park ?

      Thanks for advice 🙂

There are two HDB car park at Bishan St 24( leads towards pri school entrance). Usually park at left side will be more convenient, as one of the gate directly link to school side gate.
From St 22 after turn into St24, see the 1st side road, turn left then can see car park... should be easy.

thank you v much CrossTalk 🙂

        Rumour Alert!

My neighbour, whose son is in CHS P1 this year, told me that Cath High (Pri) students no longer enjoy lower COP for posting into Cath High (Sec).

Is there any truth to this??

          Dear Big Devil,

My son in P5 also mentioned this. But there has been no official statement from the school. If this is the case, shouldn’t the p6 parents be informed by now? Puzzled:-(

My neighbour said he heard from school official…not sure whether it’s not Principal or not. What about your son? From whom did he hear about this?

Afaik , there’s no Affiliation for IP program. For o level track, the cut off pt is being raised gradually each yr for affiliation. Ds is in p3 this yr, during registration we received a handout that cutoff pt for his yr is 240.

                    CHS P6 to Sec1,

PSLE 2009 and before COP 225
                    PSLE 2010 and 2011 COP 230
PSLE 2012 COP 240 (I heard) to in line start of IP?

Non CHS Pri varies, lowest know is 247 which is last year, some years can be 25x.

But given the intake wide range and they can produce the kind of "overall" (not the few individual high sccore type) good result, CHS is really a value added school.

But I can tell you, the foundation that the school puts in their Pri students are really good, even those who goes to other school because they cannot stay did reasonable well in other Sec school

I must say I don't observe this \"value-add\" in my boys though. Their results in the school don't differ much from their results in the actual PSLE. Wah, by that alone, I can conclude that actually CHS' school exam papers are not THAT difficult vis-a-vis PSLE papers. Why everyone clamour to buy, ah?
