Net rumour that Yaw Shin Leong having extra-maritial affair

How about the rumour regarding the candidate sleeping around to climb to the top?Lilac66:
As for Steven Tan's case, the 2 women (claimed he sexually harassed them) did not come out to show their faces, then why does he need to refute the allegations?
Why didn't MIW issue any gag order? Apparently, at that time, the ruling party felt accountability to the public is impt as they're about to recruit a new MP, a public fig.
Apparently, they are not very consistent on whether to response to all rumour either..
so, in your view, is it
a) imply that the rumour is true?
b) they don't feel that accountability to rumours is necessary?
or both?
Has FMH been asked by any reporter (mainstream media) to comment on these rumors? I believe not.
But for YSL's allegations, alot of people are awaiting just a word (yes or no) from him, but he's still not budging, other than the usual \"I do not comment on rumors\". -
so WP should spend time fighting fires like rumours created by invisible writers on sites like TR?
I never say MP should engage in affairs or such.. if clean, where are there fires (videos) to fight in the first place??
you seems to suggest that MPs are ok to engage in sleazy acts.. but those whistle blowers should not expose the videos so that they do not need to spend productive time \"fighting fires\"..
I don't engage in affairs and hence there are no such videos.
However, if you have affairs and would like to share your video, you can post it here if you like, or have it dug out by someone.
maybe some members might want to watch you perform.. regardless of whether it carries any entertainment value. :rotflmao:
PLEASE read my post carefully.. I never say MPs should engage in such acts. I say whistle blowers, if real, substantiate their claim instead of just empty talk.. -

fair enough. just happens that YSL is more popular? or someone purposely try to spread it.. and for the other case the MSM didn't wanna blow it up..

I got ur main point about rumours hv to be substantiated earlier.

Wat I m saying to ur recent post is dat these ppl, be they public figures or civil servants, also hv families/friends/colleagues.
u r OK with destroying lives to satisfy ur curiosity by having videos posted on d net for public viewing?
Chun Mei Feng n Datuk Chua were sting operations by political rivals out to discredit/destroy them. -
Ok guys, as a referee, I would say try to debate without using self or each other as an example especially in touchy issues like this, this will avoid any potential misunderstanding.
My take is as a rumour, it must be confirmed by substantiated evidence such as photo. Otherwise anyone can spread a rumour about anyone and people get hurt unnecessarily.
Since YSL mentioned โI do not comment on rumoursโ then give him benefit of doubt that it is a rumour. When I put myself in his shoes, if a rumour is spread about me, I would take the same stand because what is there to say about something untrue? I will use my actions to prove my integrity, words when interpreted wrongly can cause more issues.
I agree as a public figure, there exists an unsaid obligation to be a role model. It may not be an official requirement for the job nevertheless in a respectable role like this, it is important to behave responsibly in order for people to entrust their votes to them. Otherwise EMA is indeed a personal issue, the most concerned people would be the family. Having said this, if an EMA results in poor judgement or decision making in oneโs career then this EMA will go under the fire of the public. So men and women involved in EMA if you cannot help it, separate your personal life from professional completely and if that is not possible donโt venture into EMA. -

ok.. so you're saying that the writer could be being kind to YSL by not releasing the video as the objective of smearing the reputation have already been achieved? as the saying goes.. \"dian dao wei zhi\"..

got your point now.. fair enough.. from this pov, it does make sense in a way.. -
ksi:
From another POV, by engaging or responding, it is indirectly giving TR an honour, that what they put up were taken seriously and warrant a formal response such as press conference etc..

Maybe LTK doesn't want to create this impression also.. by saying they do not comment on rumours, it is saying that TR is just some insignificant site not to be taken seriously.
