To be in simu you have to be a prefect. Onion cheer is from the word Richardsonion which ends with an onion. It's just for fun:)The seniors comment is true that Y1 attitudes are not the same when they were at that level.
Last Fri, some seniors came to teach dd's class about house cheering. The whole class said 'boring'. Can't figure out what is Onion got to do with Richardson?
Yesterday's event, dd said last year head prefect, she is Y5 now, is pretty with short skirt and formal jacket. SHAMU's leader or assistant leader (not sure which one, she has short hair), dd and her gang like her, she is cute and pretty. How to enter into SHAMU's team? By audition and selection again?
Besides Crescent Girls' School, which other schools were being invited?
Y1 watched 'LIVE' show, couldn't feel the atmosphere and couldn't see properly. -

Choco Thanks for Clearing up the Onion-Richardson Link!
My Gal just
\"Got Onion -meh?
Anyway, the Words Written on the Board is So Smaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall and in such Light Ink tt I Can't Read a Single Word! So Just Follow Whatever my Frens Chant, and Mumble Along -la!\"
\"Anyway, the Chanting (Ooops, Sorry, Cheering  ) Session is Not Boring -la! Quite Fun, Instead!\"
So No Need Fret .... Got Supporters for your Efforts -le, Seniors! :celebrate: :celebrate:
As for the session on Tue, she Says Got RI Boys present too.
If So, these R the Rare Thorns among the Bed of Roses -le!

And She Says ALL the Year 1 were sitting on the Floor in the KS Chee, And ....
\"ALL the Year 2's have to stand for the Full 2 Hours Session, So Tiring for them!\"
So Year 2 Gals, U R Real :imanangel: :imanangel: ! -
I think one thing that has not really been communicated to the Year 1s is that all of us has gone through it- in Year 1, all the school events are spent in the KS Chee watching the live feed due to a lack of space, Year 2-3 spent watching from above the amphi- either outside D block classrooms or Koi Pond or outside the hall, and only when you get to Year 4 or sometimes in Year 3 do you get to sit at the amphitheatre
With regards to SLI, schools present include (this isn't the full list) RI, RI (JC), ACS (I), ACS (Barker Road), NYGH, HCI, Crescent, Cedar, Whitley, Bishan Park, Kuo Chuan Presbyterian and MGS.
And Errrrrrrrrrr .... dear fix_you ....
Could be A Matter of Diff Perspective -le ....
Dunno about Drama Club, but ....
Her Fren says the Seniors Make them Feel So Small and Left Out, When They R Not Even Allowed to Go into the Red Cross Room When they Go For Trial, And Also Dunno Why So ....
yep I guess its different perspective- a lot of times we also experienced the same thing as Year 1s but we weren't as vocal (not to sure about this, depends on individual too I guess) about the so called \"discrimination\"?
hmm about the not entering the Red Cross room thing- maybe you'd consider as a CCA's \"traditions\"? I know the school mentioned before about how you aren't supposed to bully juniors and all, but sometimes its about upholding of the CCA's traditions la. I don't think its our intention to make juniors feel small and left out, but especially so in Uniformed Groups, I seek Year 1s understanding that there has to be a certain form of hierarchy and discipline for a Uniform Group to function.
For one, I am pretty sure that in other schools, the Year 1s in UGs are treated much much worse so I believe its all about perspective and well, don't grumble la?
I'm sure that when the Year 1s reach Year 4, they will subconsciously act as they deem us to act now... Just want to apologise on behalf of my batch if we've done anything wrong. -
Funx3:
About the Red Cross thingy, some UGs are very particular about being very respectful of their seniors and the junior-senior line is very clearly drawn. It's a UG culture thing that's practised across that particular UG in all schools.
Oh Dear ....
Really So Bad -huh?
Choco Dear ....
Do U Visit them Early in the .... MORN?
My Gal Says in the Morning ....
Her Class is Pretty \"Dead-to-the-World\" - Only starts to Wake Up 1 to 2 hours Later, and Becomes Chatty!
She Says her Class Angels Shd not be Feeling Un-Welcome -le!
Even the Quiet-est in the Class Will Greet the Angels when they Come in .... Normally after Class - Maybe the Timing of the Visit Makes the Diff

Ha Ha ....
Like U say, There R Always diff Gals of Varying \"Attitude\" in a Batch!
Can't Even Imagine Anyone Classifying My Gal as Demanding ....
More Like NOooooooooooooo Demand and Lack of Demand!
Her P6 FT Even Told Me in the Meet-the-Parents Sessio that she Thought My Gal is \"MUTE\" coz she Never Speaks up in Class!
I Really Laughs My Head Off! :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
Seniors, Appreciate your Tolerance to our Gals.
Guess Some of the New Year 1's Maybe just too Excited with their New Found Freedom (in Speech) and Has yet to Find their Footing in Balancing their EQ with the Seniors

One's indoors and one's outdoors, with marching. One thing to note is GB is a Christian organization. Not sure about this, but there should be camps for GB?
GB meets 1-2 times a week, while Handbells meets twice a week, more when they're preparing for SYF, competitions and concerts. Note that not everyone gets selected for SYF. -
