                Wenthena,

Ya lor! Everyday I’m teaching him this, teaching him that and everyday only concern about his school work and nothing else. Pity him.

                Hendy,
Maybe you can email your child’s form teacher to ask?

Yea lor... Seems not much time for anything else... Tired man! And I'm sure he also feels it. I can actually sense his resistance when I remind him of his work... Guess overload does decrease a kids love for knowledge..

                  Hendy,
I saw that letter too. My impression was anyone want to join also can.. Didn't know the recess programme was a sort of TAF club thing..

Wethea, doesn’t your son go to Morning Star? I thought homework should be able to be completed in Morning Star. I understand that since they just started P1, it’s normal for them to not to be able to sit to concentrate on homework - give them sometime. They’ll get the hang of it soon.

So far since P1, my son has been able to complete his homework in Morning Star everyday, unless he has to attend CCA that day and I go and pick him up early. If not, you can tell the Morning Star teacher that he has to finish his homework before he is allowed to play outdoors. Maybe that will motivate him to complete his work faster? Then when he gets home, you only need to check his work and make sure he knows his mistakes. Will definitely take the load off you and also he will not feel so overwhelmed.

Yes !!! He goes to morning star! Seems he didn't do anything there?? Since math he did before morning star and journal he didn't do.. Btw, do they help them learn spelling there?? By the time he gets home, have dinner, he's too tired to absorb anything. I don't mind the homework part since there is an end to it.. But spelling is hard cos when he's tired, nothing gets absorbed..

Am surprised he didn't do anything there. Please speak to the caregivers. Ask them to keep an eye on him since he isn't automatic enough yet. My son finishes his homework and looks through his spelling/ting xie in Morning Star plus I give him extra work too for times when he doesn't have homework. Then again, the caregivers consider my son a different category from normal kids. They keep making him go and play outdoors and he never gets \"consequence\" i.e. time out for not listening to them. Speak to them your concerns and see what plans they have coz now they may be letting him play more coz maybe they want him to enjoy studentcare & friends and then next time they can use outdoor playtime to entice him to finish his work etc?
