Even if you are a church member, I doubt you are assured of a place. I was told you still need to go through balloting.
Oh is it? i thought if you are a church member you wl be applying under Phase 2B, whether a not you need to go through balloting wl depends on the vacancies they have under 2B. am i right? -
if you’re church member, you can apply under 2B.
on actual registration day:-
- once demand exceeds available vacancies for a particular distance range, Yes, balloting take place.
- but if demand <= available vacancies, then no need ballot. -

Just prepare 2nd choice if balloting is not successful. Phase 2B are PV, RC members, and other membership such as church, temple,clan.

I’m Cantonese and my hubby is teochew.
Have to show bc isit?
Dialect group is not on our ic?

If I'm not wrong, only have SHHK CLAN schools. -

Yes, birth cert shows dialect group. Believe clans will use it to assess eligibility. SHHK also has entry for which part of china one's ancestor hails from.Hi

so far, the only clan affliated to primary schools is the Hokkien.
there isn't any school affliated to Cantonese, Teochew, Hakka, Hainanese dialect. i wonder why ? :?
so if your IC doesn't indicate that you're Hokkien, means your kid can't join any Hokkien clan related primary school. -
