      Hi all,

Just got back and I am glad to make that decision.

Can literally see my daughter \"blossoming\"!

She now enjoys her classes and take delight in her homework. She was given opportunity to take up a leadership outdoor course where she get to learn sailing, abseiling, tramping, bush walking and rock climbing. I can see she cannot wait! 🕺

Wow! What a fantastic update! 🙂 Keep them coming! I'm sure there are many parents who want to know, so that they too can decide if such a path is suitable for their kids.

Very difficult to route biz trips via NZ - it's so out of the way.

          Unless you're a pilot or aircrew? ;D

                hi lovejoypeace,

good to hear your update. I have been pondering over this subject since you posted last year and am one step further into taking this route as well.

Glad to hear that. Please let me know if you need any information etc. I will be happy to assist.

Just got some glowing reports from the teachers there. I have not heard such comments when she was here in Singapore. Hopefully she will continue her love for studying and the momentum will stays. :imcool:

                    Lovejoypeace,

Thanks for sharing your journey with us. It is definitely a route that many of us may consider for our children if they do not fit into the Singapore education system. It is inspiring to read that the child can have other options but it is definitely a big sacrifice for the family. It must be very hard for you but the positive definitely outweights the cons for your daughter’s future.

Thanks for sharing so much. You are amazing. It must have been such a difficult decision to move in Australia with 5 kids.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on "sexual" education. You are defintely a very modern mother and I hope I could be as open as you so that my kids are comfortable to talk to me about any issues!

                    to the rest
Thanks for sharing so much. This is really an interesting topic and as most of you say, the decision lies with the maturity of the kid and also…the readiness of the parents to let go!

So sad that these kinds of school programmes are only available overseas and in \"ang moh\" countries. I think my no.3 would flourish in such kinds of environment, except he also enjoys the very chinese subjects and challenge of chinese music. China would probably be worse than SG. Even Taiwan. HAHA.

                        hi lovejoypeace,

could I take up your offer and trouble you to pm me the estimated cost of education + living for your kid? I think if I take this path, I will move with her.

                        thanks
