DS1 said tougher compared to AMC 8 & marks awarded are different from AMC 8. For AMC 8, wrong answers will not be penalised. For AMC10, without trying the questions, still have 1.5 marks, if tried but wrong, zero marks, so for those not very sure, DS1 rather leave it blank. -
I don’t seem to be able to find the thread?

Here's the NUSH thread:

We are overseas Singaporeans will soon be heading home. Child will be back for secondary school. He has expressed interest in giving NUSH a shot. He has been top in Science and above average for Math. (The school here follow the SG syllabus and uses SG textbooks)
Anyone has kids here who have sat for the selection test for NUSH? Care to share? As we will be flying home for the test, I would like to know how best I can help him as he will not have time to attend any preparation course.
On what grounds, would you advise a child not to go for it?
THANKS A HEAP -

:scared: :nailbite: I guess you must be a student. Can you tell me more about yourself (if you don't mind). How's your school work? What are your usual marks for Math and Science tests?
I really need to know cos' it will be an expensive test for my kid as we have to fly to and fro. Airfare for 1 adult and 1 kid and if my kid makes it thru the test, that will be another camp and that means another round of flying.
I do apprecaite all kinds of inputs. THANKS! -
