The math works out something like this: the initial class size was about 20+, which increased to about 23-24. In theory, those classrooms can accommodate 30 students I think; I remember squeezing 32 once, but I wouldn't recommend it. If you expand class size but not classes, you can have more...jtoh:
If there are already 330 IP boys coming from ACSI in Year 5, and say 100 from MGS when their IP kicks off, that doesn't leave very much space for JAE intake. Unless ACSI increases its IB resources to cater to a much enlarged intake.
I doubt they'll be able to cater to a much larger intake. The DPs keep saying that ACSI is already the largest IB school and they really have limited resources. The number of students continues to increase every year though, so maybe they're slowly preparing for a larger intake?

I know of someone who transfered from RGS to ACSI year 5 for IB.
This one is thru DSA right since obviously the person has no O level results. -

Heh, ask your DS, that's what he's supposed to know. Besides, it's way too early for ACS(I) students to be preparing for the MY exams already.

What is the different between American Mathematics Contest 10 (AMC10) and AMC10A? As NUSH has held AMC10A on 7feb 2012 but ACS(I) will be held AMC10 on 22feb2012. :?

They’re just held on different dates. There shouldn’t be much difference in terms of difficulty level, but if there are any differences, the cut off for AIME will also be adjusted accordingly, like cut off for AMC10A may be 120, but if AMC10B turned out to be slightly more difficult, it could be 119.

Anyone knows when the UYOs CCA is starting for the Yr 1s? I heard they received their assigned UYOs last Friday but not told when it’s starting.

Go visit Mr Chan Chee Wei, with documentation explaining why (e.g. your DS was from that UG in primary school). Mr Chan is the Director in charge of things like CCA; however, note that it may take some time to sort out.
