\"Children Vineyard Montessori Church\" new kindergarten officially launching an Open house event on Saturday, 25 Feb, 8 am - 1pm. Do come and learn more about the wonderful, exciting great curriculum which Principal Judy is going to share with you.
Judy is an excellent, fine lady. In the past, she had opened up her house to teach a bunch of kids in Homeschooling. Her very warm, loving care and dedication in teaching the kids so well had melted the hearts of many parents, who had constantly been asking her the question -
Why don't you open up a kindergarten instead, so that many more children can be blessed, by your teaching ? We look forward to that day! Now, that great day which many parents had hoped for - has finally dawned!
Judy has been scouting around for a conducive place, for a period of time. Eventually, she established a new kindergarten at .... Charis Methodist church premises.

but from 2012 Term 2 onwards - the new kindergarten that's going to occupy Charis Methodist church is named the \"Children Vineyard Montessori Church\" kindergarten, supported by Charis Methodist church members. -

Actually, down the road (from Tanah Merah) at Upper Changi East, there's a Kinderland childcare. My younger boy is there (older one was from there too), and I must say it's a very well run childcare. You should go take a look and get a feel.
A few years back when I was looking for a place for my older boy, this centre was initially not on my 'search radar' but hubby and I decided to just take a look... just to ensure we looked at more than 3 centres. To our surprise, it was a really nice place and we almost immediately cancelled all the other places that we had shortlisted.
And through the years, I (and the boys) have no complaints against the centre at all.
In fact, I sometimes regret pulling the older boy out and placing him in a kindergarten!
Hi, thanks for the infomation. Do you know how much the full day childcare cost? I think I will go down and see the distance from tanah merah mrt this sat. The photos in the Internet looks promising. Just hope it's not very far.
Unfortunately it's not within walking distance for you. However, you'll have direct bus no. 24 that stops right in front of the center. -

I want to share this story, i dont know how about other parent look at this issue.
I enrolled my 2 yrs old daughter to this Shaws at Katong and the reason i want enrolled her is because i like the curriculum and the environment. I was so excited abt it but at that time i am still bot sure abt the sch bus issue cos they have to check.
The principle said that they have open house on following Mon so she said that in order to secure the place i have to register etc so i went back on fri night and told my hubby and we went down the next morning (Sat).
I call up the sch this week and check what is the news for sch bus.
The sch bus fees is $210 is a bit too ex for me but never mind since i like the sch i got no choice. But i realise that my 2 yrs old dd will be in the sch bus for 1 hr plus and i find is way too long for a 2 yrs old child so i called the principle and told her abt my concern and she told me this is the best she can and ask me to face reality, i was surprise to hear this frm a principle. I told her never mind i will see what i can do so intend to fetch my dd myself but the timing crush with my elder dd timing so i cant do that but to chose another sch for my younger dd.
I called up this morning and talk to the principle abt it and ask her do not bank in the cheque etc. cos we decided to withdraw it out cos since i have no way out frm this and we dont think is good for a 2 yr old child to spent such a long time in the bus.
THe principle said "ok, Fine but Eileen is not very nice to do this cos we reserve a slot for you and you tell us you not interested"
I told her " well you as a educator and a principle i hope you can see the point that is not very good for a 2yr old child to take such a long journey". and she said " ok whatever. Pls return the uniform"
I felt so angry but at the same time i feel so lucky cos my dd is not with this Shaws cos what her concern is not "About my daughter but only her sch"
U know for pats schoolhouse at Siglap the principle Eileen, when i told her i want my 2 yr old dd to take sch bus she look at me in surprised and said are u sure so i ask her what is her concern? she said she feel that she is a bit too young to take sch bus and she suggest why not you just fetch her for the 1st 3 months then later u see how so that she will feel better aft settling down at sch not too much for her to cope on the emotional part. Just for your info i din sign her up aft that but i an gg back to her liao.
I want to point out is such a big different between this 2 principle.
One only concerning abt her sch
One concerning abt my daughter.
Parent have to look at this when you look for sch.
the passion for the children not just only your sch.
attitude change when parent decided not to sign up.
