We are chwee Kueh lover as well and we just had Kovan market chwee kueh last nite. Standard esp the chai poh seems to have dropped. There is a funny smell in the chai poh now. It smelled like someone who perspired too much....


I like the jian bo at Tiong Bahru. The chai poh got a unique smell. I also like the ones at serangoon garden market.

My dd1 has a bad habit of eating chai poh only. I was just \"educating\" her on being a \"responsible\" chwee kueh eater. Besides the chai poh, you must also eat your fair share of the kueh.

I also nag my 3.5 yr old abt eating both. Lately she's taken to telling me, without me checking, that \"See mummy? I'm eating the white part also\"... she's definitely a fan. When her daddy asks her how many pieces she wants, she'll say 5! no no no 6! and she can really finish 6.

Since I discovered the Bedok Chwee Kueh at Bedok interchange, all others pale in comparison. Their chai por and chilli paste is sedaplicious :drool: :drool: :drool:
