      Hello everyone!!

So glad to see this thread! Anyone eyeing on SJI or Hong Wen Primary? But seems that SJI don’t have PV.

        Hello everyone

Happy to see this thread. I cant believe that my daughter is going to Pri 1 in 2015. I am an old girl of MGS. I dont mind her going there, however i was thinking of RGPS and SCGS too. MGS and RGPS is very close to home now, but not within 1 km. RGPS is within 1km of my in-laws house.

Does anyone know if its guaranteed to get into MGS, if i am an old girl.
Heard that if MGS secondary offers IB program, then they will not be affilicated to the primary school? Is this true?

        Thanks

Registration under P2A is almost guaranteed. Almost because so far, we have not witnessed any balloting in this phase.

If MGS is close to home, and you have a 99% probability of getting in, it makes no sense to give it up and try for uncertainty. The last I heard, MGS is a pretty good school too. 😉

If affiliation is your concern, then all the more you shouldn't go for RGPS since it is not affiliated to RGS.

stick to your alma mater, MGS.

twenty years ago, RGPS results beat MGS. But in recent years, MGS caught up. Their standard is high, been selected by MOE to go Integrated Programme. 2011, MGS churn out impressive results:-

about MGS - the pupils are well groomed in manners from young.
even as you walk along the corridoor, you don't see any MGS girls chitchatting loudly nor shouting. Overall, they're well disciplined and polite. The Christian teaching does a good job in grounding them important values from young. MGS is a great school !

each year, there are rgps parents keen to seek transfer into MGS.
in rgps once reach P5 to P6 - the state of mind change, start to think of psle prep & Secondary school choice. Many parents stressed up, bec we don't have any safety net affliated Sec school to catch us. rgps is also a great wonderful school! it's just that she is not affliated to RGSS.

many parents would love to be in your shoes. 🙂

                Thanks everyone for your thoughts!

I love the Christian school education as it teachers character and morals. As an old girl, most MGS girls are very well-brought up and well groomed. However, all nearly MGS friends are not very career-minded. They get married, stay home and have kids. RGS and SCGS girls are corporate climbers. Just my views.

                      Hi!

I’ve a boy born in 2008. I’m from an all-girls school n my hubby’s primary school is too far away.
We stay at bukit timah n within 1km of Pei Hwa.
Hoping to get PV at Pei Hwa or if possible, Nan Hua wld b better.
But their selection for PV is end of the year.
Do you think I’ve time to do GRL if I start only at end of 2012if kena rejected for all PV?

Can I change my address to my mom’s place to do it at the RC for Nan Hua? She stays 1-2km from nan Hua. GRC where i do GRL has to include the address on ic and school too right?
