      Hi Glamchic,

      Yes, you can try Ikea. I find them quite durable and they are reasonably priced. OR..... you can try My Tot's Room at Turf City. They have really nice fancy ones. I don't know the cost and whether they are durable, but they are really nice to look at. They even have toddlers' sofa and table set. Website is http://www.mytotsroom.com.

      Happy hunting 😄

            dear parents,

            fyi – kindergarten table.

            if you are looking high and low to buy a kindergarten table for yr child to read, to write at home – where the look and design looks exactly / precisely identical to those used in PCF kindergarten, church kindergarten, you may buy one from Tiong Hin Furniture (TH) company.

            click here to view the kindergarten table design & dimension, from TH website:-

            http://www.tionghin.com.sg/school05.html

            costs ?
            =====
            per table costs $30.
            per chair costs $6.

            location ?
            =======
            address : 30 Changi Sth St 1 Singapore 486770
            telephone : 6747 5160
            website : http://www.tionghin.com.sg

            the table is very solid, wood very sturdy.
            the table comes in attractive, sweet looking, soft pastel colors.
            colors that appeal to kids !

            for kindergarten table, you may choose pink, pale yellow, pale green, red, pale blue, dark blue, etc.
            per table costs $30.

            the chair also very sturdy.
            even adults can sit on the chair, not just kids.
            the chair comes in assorted colors.
            for kindergarten chair, you can choose colors like - apple green, red, yellow, pale blue, orange.
            per chair costs $6.

            Tiong Hin is wholesaler.
            she sells to school, to retailer furniture shops all over SG.
            since Tiong Hin is wholesaler, not retailer, that’s why can sell at $30 per table, $6 per chair.

            if you buy from retailer furniture, they mark up for profit margin.
            for the same kindergarten table –retailers can charge you $90, > 3 times than if you buy directly from Tiong Hin wholesaler.

            note:
            ====

            even though Tiong Hin is wholesaler, she also sells to individual parents.
            I just bought one table and 3 chairs from them.

            Ikea doesn’t sell this type of kindergarten table design – that has the exact, same identical look and design, as those used in PCF (formerly PAP) kindergarten & church kindergarten.

            besides letting yr child sit and write at this table, he can also eat here. exactly what the kids in the kindergarten are doing !
            eat, write, read - at this table !

            Ikea sell other types of writing table / desk.

                this is a great thread. i m looking for children mattress, due to space constraints. any idea where to buy? i know ikea one is 70x160cm but i m lookng for even smaller one but not cot size mattress.

                for children table, can chk out LifeShop or LifeBaby. they hv nice elegant kids tables and chairs whc can double up as side table when the kids outgrown. they are plain brown ones so wont look out dated or kiddish to put in the living rm.

                    Need some advice - does any mummy know where to get custome-made curtains for bed? Bought a four-poster super-single bed for my "princess", but approached a few curtain shops and they are not keen in making curtains for bed. Thanks.

                        Ergonomic stuffs are never cheap to begin with. Sometimes we could well make do with simple furnitures but proper sitting posture and good lightings
