Hi smurf!can I know if a 1kg cake sufficient for a class of 25 children and 4 teachers?
assuming that its not a fondant cake (meaning heavy kind).
Previously i ordered at least ard 1.5kg for my DS's class (less than 20 kids) + 2 teachers... but hvg said that, if they were to cut smaller portion, it might be fine esp they are just small kids... -
thanks!

Hi Smurf
Hope my experience doesnt come in too late....
I ordered a 1 Kg cake (fr Begawan Solo) years ago for a class of 20 kids +1 teacher. They were in K2 then. The teacher saw the cake and immediately said \"not engf\"...she quickly went to the kitchen and asked the Auntie (aka chef) to prepare snack for the class. I was so malu  then.
This year, I bot a 2kg cake for a class of 27 kids + 1 teacher. Also in K2. The cake was almost gone...left a small portion. Initially, I wanted to get a 1.5kg but the Begawan Solo doesnt not make 1.5kg with the Transformer design, and my kid wanted a Transformer cake.
I think a 1kg cake is too small...at least 1.5kg. -
Thanks for the comment!

no, not too late...haven't order anything yet...heeeee -

Hi all
I have seen cupcakes with mickey design and names printed on them.
Each cupcake is personalised with the classmate’s name. I think they are so pretty! Anyone has seen and any idea where can we order such cupcakes from? -
Hi I ordered last week from this lady who is a cake decorating instructor. I asked for 2 kittens as my daughter love cats. I was blown away by what she produced, a bit pricey $400 I told her i didnt want an overly sweet tasting cake and she managed to come up with one that really was good for the fondant. PM if any of you guys want to have a look at the photos.
You see, i have ordered so often from many online shops…mostly were young ladies and they all had cakes that were either too sweet or tasted blend. -
i had a 2kg ($81.20) Bengawan Princess cake last year as the school asked me to bring in min 1.5kg for class of 18 kids and 2 teachers, end up i fed the entire school and still leave with a lot of cake!
this year the school say 2kg cake at least as the class has 24 kids, not gonna bother but 1kg cake might be a bit challenging to share among 24 kids and 2 teachers + 1 admin + 1 principal and since Bengawan do not bake 1.5kg cakes, i opted for a 1.5kg from a neighbourhood cake shop instead, cheap ($48) and good (big) hahaha -
had wanted to go for cupcakes but old man at home feels must have a CAKE to cut..
i've seen cute cupcakes from http://www.ovencreations.blogspot.com/
happy shopping! -
I have ordered from them before!!
The cake was a hit at my son's birthday
