      Hi,

Anyone subscribe for Adventure box? Is a book that recommended by school teacher. I wonder is it necessary because is quite ex.
you can go to the library to borrow an old copy (if it is not on loan) to see if it is worth it.

Kindly update us about how to do you find Adventure Box or Discovery Box. My DD school also sent the form to promote these series.

            DD asked me this morning...

Why are there fruits (mango, lychee) with only one seed, while others (watermelon, papaya) with many seeds?? :faint:

Only thing I could tell her is that with many seeds, there are higher chances of growth. I have no answer for single seed (but I did praise her for being inquisitive šŸ˜‰ ).

What would you tell your child?

              bigD,
introduce you to my good friend : Dr Google :rahrah:
i did a brief googling and some fruits are big seed cos they have bigger 'energy reserves' for their only 1 seed to ensure better survival (http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/botany/msg1017222226951.html).
              šŸ™‚

                Thanks, jedamum!

Dr Google is a good friend of mine too, but I phrased my question as
\"why mango has one seed\" (DD's original question) and couldn't find
anything. Should have generalized it to \"fruit\". :slapshead:

                    Hi

                    Good Morning.

If I remember correctly, P3 students learned that non flowering plants like ferns are reproduced from spores. Also, mushrooms, moulds are reproduced from spores.

So, this rules out (2), (3) and (4)

                    The answer is (1).

                    Best wishes

Hmm...But P3 syllabus never taught the children that the spores are light and small, right? So my answer will be (4)B and C only.

                      Which one is correct??
