hi ice78
my boy is in p1 too and takes the school bus. so far it has been OK, but i did notice that he is one of the few P1s on the bus. i warned him that the older boys on the bus may spew vulgarities and more ill behaved etc. and true enough, he experienced it himself. i told him you can hear what they say but do not learn from them. is it the boys on the bus that is bothering him?? i noticed that the older boys do ‘usher’ my son to the seat when he boards. so they’re not so bad, but yeah school buses can be stressful so need to find out the root of the problem. -
my p2 came back told me that his friend told him that the toilet in the school got ghost. I wonder why so young they can spread this kind of rumour. haha.

hi smurf
thanks for the update about the \"ghost\". this morning while waiting for school bus, my boy was telling me something like this (but in a story telling way). he was very surprised when i told him i knew about it...lol
then he asked me how i knew about it, whether i can see him in school from some distant video..lol..
it is good to share any news / happenings in this forum! -
:rotflmao: good way to keep the boys on their toes!

yes!
parents, please share any interesting happenings in school.
I can see my son's face like \"how come my mum will know about it without me telling her first??\" and he seemed a little worried about it..lol :rotflmao: :lovesite: -
Hi mummies
My son takes the bus back and he was often whacked in the glasses by his fellow P1 classmate who takes the same bus. Apparently the boy does not dare to do anything in class cos the teacher is fierce but gets funny on the bus. My dear son told me not to go school to handle this matter as he got ego and worried other boys will laugh at him when ‘mummy’ goes to school. He told me he will handle the matter himself and updated me last night that he had warned the boy that if he does it again he will tell principal. He will monitor and decides if he will go to the principal if it happens again…
So it is not just older boys I guess…with the recent article on a P2 boy being bullied, hope the school will pay more focus on this area and teach the boys to treat each other well. Think we as parents also must do our parts. -
hi Gracelim0317
as a parents, we have to teach our kids that there will be bullies around in different forms, physical or verbal and need to ask them questions or post scenerios to them and ask them how they should react…
your boy is handling it well as he has the courage to handle it himself and not cry for his parent’s help…salute him for that.
i believe there is a school talk somewhere in March about "How to handle bullies" was a good talk, you might want to check it out cause bullying is there, big or small way… -
yep, every now and then, DS will complain about some boys doing stuff to him. Just last year, a boy kept putting his hands round his neck, trying to " strangle" him, tho I think he is doing it for fun. After a while that boy stopped so I didnt do anything abt it. I just told him if it get worse or too frequent and he really feel awful, juts complain to any teacher around him…
BTW, I thouht I saw a letter that the talk on "Bullies" is cancelled? -
Breadandmuffins:
Yup, I saw that letter too.
